14 Day Ultimate Ticket

We have just received our tickets from Virgin and it includes a voucher that says it can be exchanged at a ticket booth at a Disney Park for our Ultimate Ticket.
We were hoping to go to Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island on our first night, but does this mean we will have to visit a park instead.
Do we also need to take our passports as photo ID?

You can exchange at any ticket sales or guest services.
We always use Guest services at Downtown Disney on our 1st night. Never a line, very quick.
You don't need ticket to goto Downtown Disney its free to everyone, surely you are not partying at Pleasure Island 1st night are you? a walk around DTD, get your tickets you will be ready for bed. :)
Yes take ID, either passport or we prefer Driving Licence.

How many nights are you staying? Remember, your 14 day ticket is exactly that. If you are staying for 14 nights and you activate your ticket when you arrive, you wont be able to use it on your last day (this will be day 15).

You wont have a problem visiting DTD on your first night and it doesn't take long to activate your ticket at the parks (do take you passport just in case though).

As we have being having 10 night stays recently the first thing we do is to drive over to EPCOT to activate the tickets and then go back to DTD.

Take your voucher to Guest Relations at Downtown Disney and you can exchange it there. It's normally quieter there than at the parks.

Yes you can activate your tickets at down town Disney but remember what Wayneg said fourteen days means exactly that, and if you activate at six o clock at night and use your ticket to go into Pleasure Island then that will count as your first day and you will in effect waste a day on your ticket

If you are staying at a Disney hotel they can be put on your room key.
