View Full Version : cirque du soleil or blue man??
Hi just working on our itinery and can't decide if we should go to cirque du soleil or blue man? Was just wondering what people thought about these shows and which one my DS (8) might enjoy the most. If I can't make my mind up might end up going to both if the budget allows!

We did both last December and we'd seen BMG before in Vegas. I really liked BMG and suspect that an 8 year old might prefer it; lots of visual humour and great pounding rock rhythms.
However, CdS is the better show for adults, it is jaw dropping. But, there are at least two or three things happening at once and a child might not be able to take this all in. The Jazzy/Trancey music might be a bit much too. That said, there were children there and they seemed to be having a good time.
I would happily go to either again. If you can afford both, then they are both very special evenings. Especially the finale of BMG, this time to sounds of the KLF blasting out; huge fun.

Just to say my DD9 absolutely loved Cirque. Haven't seen BMG to compare though.
Doing both this next trip - I have no idea when/if I'll be going back so why not? :)

Cannot decribe how fantastic Cirque du Soleil is, as we approached in the taxi my hubby said " I can't believe we are going to a circus" - he wouldn't stop talking about it when we left it was simply fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to our budget we only did Cirque & my 15 yr old DS really moaned about going & if I'd have given him the choice he'd would have spent the time in Disney quest. He really enjoyed it.!
