Has anyone been here recently? Would you recommend it? How long does it take to drive there from kissimmee area? Also do you pay for anything such as tube rental in addition to the ticket price?
We have been to Silver Springs many times, and Wild Waters is right next door. I haven't been inside, but it doesn't seem to be any better (if as good) as the Orlando water parks. It seems a long way to go (about two hours) just for a water park.

If you go to Wild Waters you'll no doubt go into Silver Springs as well, which then makes it a full days experience. The entrances for both parks are facing each other across the car park of the same location. It is about an hour and half drive at least from Kissimmee, but it is worth it, especially if you are going to the Silver Springs theme park as well (which I loved for the glass bottom boat rides alone).

Just found a link for you where it looks like you can buy a combined Silver Springs and Wild Waters pass www.attractionworld.com/affiliates/theatre-tour-details.asp?ID=73063&Name=Silver%20Springs%20+%20Wild%20

We went to Silver Springs for the 1st time last year with our 12 and 19 year old Sons. We thought they would not be impressed because they are used to the hype of the bigger theme parks, how wrong we were, they both loved it, we spent the whole day there and didnt even get to the water park. It was so lovely and peaceful and complete change to Disney, Universal and Sea World. It did take us at least 2hours to get there, but were taking another trip this year and our 26 year Son and 5 year old Grandson coming as well, and we may even get the water park in this time.

thanks guys. We are thinking of going to silver springs on 4th July as they have fireworks and a concert with american idol people - so we were thinking of doing the water park in the morning and then going on to silver springs in the afternoon and for the evening fireworks and concert.
