I am going to stay at Newport Bay club in couple of weeks time. :)
When you check in at the hotel do you have to leave credit card details at the check in desk? Its just I don't have a credit card only a debit card.
Also the credit card that was used to pay for the holiday was my Mum's and I just wondered if the hotel will need to see that credit card when I check in even though the money has all been paid? :confused2
Thanks for you help

They shouldn't need to see your mum;s credit card, but they may ask for a credit card against any room charges (although I can't recall if you can charge back to your hotel room within the parks like you can in Orlando)
I am sure you could use your debit card for this, or you could just say that you don't want charging privileges as you will pay as you go.

As far as I can recall they'll only ask for a credit card imprint if you (a)wish to use the mini-bar (highly expensive) or (b)want to have the facility of charging things back to your room if buy in the park, which can be done at all restaurants and shops, including Disney Village but not applicable at the carts found in the park.
They shouldn't request to view the card the booking was made with as, presumably, that transaction is now all complete.
Have a great time

We haven'gt been yet but as far as I can see they do not need to see the credit card. It doesn't say that on the site and The Brit Guide doesn't mention it, they would if it was the case. You can have stuff charged to your room and payed on a debit card.
