blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon

We've been to Typhoon Lagoon several times but never visited Blizzard Beach. We're going again in 2 weeks, and can't decide which water parks to visit. Which one does everyone think is the best? or is Aquatica worth a visit. (I've read lots of mixed reviews).

We all love TL but our dds are 8 & 9 and they found there were more play areas for them at BB. Haven't been to Aquatica so can'r comment! My advice is do them all!

Did Aquatica last week and wasn't impressed with it at all! I know it's only just opened so it probably has to settle down a bit, but the queues were terrible - over an hour for the dolphin chute! There was no shade there at all as the few umbrellas were snatched up straight away - at least at the Disney water parks there are plenty of wooded areas where you can catch a bit of shade! The food was also dire. Out of the 2 disney ones I prefer BB, purely because the wave in TL is too intense for me. I also prefer the family raft at BB - the ski lift up to it is a ride in itself!

We love both Disney water parks but at a push I'd pick TL over BB. But, if you've never been you should do BB. It's great, but in a different way to TL.

I prefer TL to BB we have decided against Aquatica this year mainly because of reports we have read i would much rather do a Disney water park anyway. :tinkani: :tinkani: :tinkani:

Personally I wouldn't, not sure you could do both parks justice. They are very busy pm and the queues can be long.

Better to do one "properly" in my opinion.

Also for the OP, if you haven't done BB then I'd definitely do this over AQ.

Did all 3 during our trip at Easter. Aquatica was by far the busiest, due to it being new I guess. The dolphin chute was a complete anti- climax after queing for 1 hour. BB was for us the best park, but as with all the parks, get there early!

Went with our kids the other year to TL and BB. All the family preferred BB mainly because most of the slides and rides are longer and you feel it was worth queing for. The kids also really enjoyed the play areas for their ages.
Typhoon lagoon has a tremendous wave pool and the one at BB is fairly routine.

Our DS 9 would rather do BB than TL iam not bothered i would do both iam 41years young and a bigger kid than my DS, we all liked AQ and think it is worth a visit, but its new and very busy, we went for 9am on a tuesday at easter, yes we had to que for an hour at dolphin plunge but we went in the afternoon, should have done it 1st lesson learnt. :wavey:

we love TL and never visited BB for the first few years as we loved TL that much but we decided to give BB a chance last year and loved it that much its now our favourite water park! i think you should give it a go x

We've done both, but are going back to TL this year, mostly for the shark pool and crush n gusher. BB is not a bad second choice though, the place is great.

We're gonna give Aquatica a go, but are quite prepared to leave if we don't like it. It's all included in the tickets so no harm no foul really. That being said, we are looking forward to it.

Both have their own good points. TL has a fantastic wave pool, but we found there was more family type rides at BB. Not sure if this is correct, but our DD (8) is vary wary of going on anything on her own where she can't see us, but this didn't seem so much an issue at BB.

That was our impression anyway, but do both! :)

Try and do both - they are both cool in their own way but if you only do one and you haven't done BB before the this is the one to do.

TL for us - love the big wave when it comes and catches people out everytime. Last time I watched a guy filming his daughter just before the big wave, which is what she was doing just before she ran off leaving him to be totally washed out as the wave covered him and his video camera....... :erm: you have to laugh :d:

Love both but Typhoon Lagoon everytime for us... love the theming, the wave pool, the shark reef... I find it much more relaxing and laid back compared to BB.

Much prefer TL's theme so would choose it over BB if I could only do one. :wave:
