Denise & me have been a couple of times - both times in fancy dress. Denise done my make-up to look like Jack Sparrow (with the multiple eyes!!), Denise dressed as a Princess (we both looked good!) - people in the park thought that we were Cast Members - even taking photos of us & asking for autographs. The night revolves around walking the park & looking for areas where Pirate games can be played & "Booty" (sweets/candy) are given out - make sure you get your Booty bag beforehand - you'll also need to get a wristband from Cast Members if you wish to do any of the rides. MK closes early to those who do not have the P&P tickets - have fun!!

I think bit has now changed. We went to the P&P Party on 16th April. I went to guest services to ask about the 'booty bags' and we were told to just walk around the park and look for the '?' signs for the booty stations. As we went around we found one place where we were given a small bag each with 'gems' in and everywhere else we were given coloured beads to wear, (a different colour at each station). The kids had great fun doing this.

This is by far one of the best things we have ever done at Disney.
For a small charge you get to go crazy in MK with a fraction of the visitors. Plus most people are in fancy dress, so the mood is electric.
Even the extra details like smokey entrances and cast in fancy dress made this magical. It was that good we went back the following week.
You even get a special parade and firework display, which in my opinion knocks the socks off the normal one.

Pay that bit extra and enjoy !!

Can you pay at the gate on the night of the party or does it need to be pre booked?

Some tickets are available on the day if it has not already sold out by people doing advance purchase which does give you a bit of discount :)
Me and the DH are going on Friday, this will be our first P&P but we have done MVMCP and really enjoyed that :)

Hi ya, DW here, we went on the 23rd April, it was a good night but missed the parade as we didn;t get the times sheet that tells you when things are happening and when we aksed some cast members they couldn;t tell us until the one we asked at 9.15 told us it had took place at 8.30pm! The fire works were great and stay on in front of the castle for Mickeys and crew show, its lovely. They were only handing out beads and a few gems on that night, we had been told candy but we didn;t get any, we got our booty bag from out side the Carousel of Progress ride in Tomorrow Land. Lots of people dressed up so real fun. Enjoy.

We prebooked and went on April 11th without dh and had so much fun that we went back on the 16th and paid on the gate and dragged him along. We came home with loads of beads, pirate bags of gems and on the 16th candy rings. At tomorrowland there were activities where you could win more. Little or no wait for the rides, lovely parade and spectacular fireworks. We even caught dh giving Minnie a wave as she passed (whilst wearing his goofy ears pirate hat :d: ). This was my 5th time at MK and was definately my best experience. Can't wait to go back! :mickeywal

Where can you pre-book tickets for this? It sounds great - not been to Disney before, so in need of some guidance.

We booked our tickets through the Disney World website. It was fairly obvious how to get to the page but if you click to look at the Magic Kingdom and then look at special events you should be led to the page to buy tickets. alternatively I think some people have booked them over the phone but I don't know the number to ring. Sorry.

We went on 26th May - it was my son's birthday and we had a fantastic time. My son dressed as Peter Pan and when we met Captain Hook, Hook ran away from him!! It was really funny.

I would definately recommend it. Go earlier than 7pm though. We got there for 6.30pm to find a 45min queue already to see Jack Sparrow even though it wasn't supposed to start until 7pm!
