The Hulk is a very smooth coaster and everywhere is a nice ride. If there isn't a queue I plan on trying to bag a front seat but I don't think it detracts from the ride sitting anywhere else

Hi There!
I have been on the back, middle and the front, my fave is at the back!! Where ever you sit though it is very smooth, you will love it, it is the best ride in Orlando IMO x

I don't think the Hulk is smooth anymore .. it is smooth at or near the front but you get your ears/head bashed if you sit at the back ..

the smoothest rides are the suspended coasters they are smooth wherever you sit and stay smooth .. I find the sit in types get rougher over time.

still a great ride

You might not get to choose where you want to sit as it is one of the most popular rides, unless you get there for park opening and not many people about.
DW rode this for her first time last July, and it is a very smooth ride, no getting tossed about, unlike the ROTM

I was thinking this - remember having my head thrown about and ending up with a headache for a couple of hours :( That's not to say I wont be trying it again tho... :tounge:

I was 'forced' ;) to sit at the back and it was definately more 'whippy' than anywhere else on the ride.

best bit is when you come off the ride with jelly legs and a definite queasy feeling........maybe I'm just getting too old to ride it anymore

Not that this would stop me :D

Last time I was on the Hulk there was a separate queue if you wanted to sit at the front. Was always long though so never bothered. To me the back seems anything but smooth - it always seems to bang my head around, so maybe it depends how tall you are? Either way it's a great ride.

I agree with that,
the smoothest coaster i've been on in florida has to be Montu that is a super smooth ride.

Hulk is the first stop in the park, first for the front and then anywhere else for a 2nd shot.

I think a lot depends on your height.
Kids prefer the front as the "view" adds to the thrill.

I've rode the Hulk loads of times - the front gives by far the way the best view - not for those who scare easy as you get to see the track all the way round - the back is IMHO the best ride as it seems to go that little bit faster once the seats are released from the drive chains etc. Wherever you decide to sit enjoy the ride!!!

Greatest forces in the back, best view in the front. Because it is launched the Hulk is one of the few coasters where is not clearly better to sit in the front, but I still prefer the front.

The front of ride queue for the Hulk is often really long and you can't skip any of it with a Fastpass key from a Universal hotel. So, it makes the back a better option most of the time.

If possible, go on the front, then the back. Last trip I was there for park opening a few days and rode Hulk a couple of times before running round to Dueling Dragons.

This has got to be my fave ride ever - but only by a small margin.

The Hulk - Love this ride, wherever I've sat.

It was DD's 1st big coaster - she loved it and has turned into a coaster-monster ever since.

We went on th for the first (and second) time this morning. 1st time was at thefront, second was 7th row (Almost the back). We got there for park opening and rode twice within 10 minutes, with no queues at all, even for the front :d: My head and ears were bashed about both times, but it's a fab ride. My 2nd fave in all of Florida after Sheikra.

Talking of baing brave, I went on Bomb Bay this afernoon :spin: I was adamant I wouldn't do it but got up the courageand it was fab :wavey:I got a big wedgie though

For the first time on this ride, go to the front, try to do it with the sun shining down the launch tunnel. The launch feeling is excellent, you cant see a thing past the end of the tunnel, makes it all the more dramatic. And watch the begining of the new version of House on Haunted hill, makes the ride even scarier........;)

The thing with the hulk and banging your head and ears is something that I have never suffered from as my ears are sitting above the shoulder harness so I never seem to bang them

On the other hand my DW who is a bit shorter hates the ride as she always bangs her head and ears on the shoulder harness

I have ridden the front row middle row and the back row and all locations are a different ride sensation so if you like your first ride and go back for more try a different seat location second time around

Have ridden middle and front. Front is a more intense experience and I actually found my head hitting the shoulder straps more here, than further back. Though it may have been that it was the third time we had ridden the ride in that day and I was too exhausted by the time we rode in the front to hold my head back!!! Didn't realise there was a mist at one part of the ride until I sat at the front. It came as a bit of a shock!!! :confused2

We always get there for park opening so usually manage a couple of front row rides- then we go for the back - I love the way it whips you around those bends!

The it's over to duelling dragons - again, front line on each and then wherever you can get straight on. The only problem we've found here early in the day is that they've only got one of each running and usually have to stop to load the next two trains on the track.

Montu is fab too - I only seem to have a problem on Kumba - I ALWAYS bang my head on that last turn - 5 rides in a row is all I can manage! And I must admit I do HATE getting into a wet seat :pgig: :pgig: ie when the last riders have just come off Congo River Rapids!

Love the Hulk !

Back row is a must for us but thats also because i hate heights and really dont want to see where i am going :D

I know, heights and coasters :nonono: !! I suppose thats why i like Hulk - No climb !!

Now Duelling Dragons etc where there is a climb, thats scary ! I do actually get that scared i cry.

God i'm a wimp :(

So back to what i was sayong, back row is good but my boys also enjoy the front row for being 'shot' out the ride.

We like them all - they've all got their own individual characteristics - need to check them all out on each visit. Our all time fav is Montu at Busch;)

The fronts the best, coaster purists always say back is better due to whip effect, but I prefer front row as you've got no-one & nothing in front, I'd recommend same for Duelling Dragons
