It would look like dd's, dm and I are off to Tenerife in August, just before Florida. Tenerife is mum's choice and I've never been so any info would be greatly appreciated. We're thinking of going to Bahia Principe Costa Adeje, so if any Dibbers have been there I would love to hear what you think about it.
Thanks in advance. :wavey:

Went Tenerrife this time last year. Went stayed in Los Cristianos really nice beach but would walk to Playa de las Americas's beach. It's really not that far. We didn't hire a car and wished we would have. Got sun burt really bad so didn't really see much of the island.

Their a Water Park their half of the park was close as they were doing it. It needed it.

Dont stop in Golf del Sur the planes fly other their all the time and there not really that much there.

I would thoroughly recommend a tour to the top on Mount Teide (I think that's what is called) my husband and I went to Tenerife for our honeymoon , ten years ago. It's a volcanic mountain I think, very amazing views form the base over the island and strange volcanic scenery. I great talk all the way up ....me and my hubbie chuckle every time we think about it because we can tell you all about bananas now!!!!
We too stayed at Playa delas Americas.

Have a great time.

We stayed near there at the Costa Adeje Palace a few years ago. That area is lovely and quiet, not as commercialised as Las Americas and a bit more upmarket. There is a gorgeous golden beach at El Duq, (known locally as the 5 Star beach because of the posh hotels on it) and plenty of bars and restaurants along the promenade. The views towards Teide and La Gomera will take your breath away. You can walk along the promenade all the way to Las Americas, it takes maybe half an hour or so.

DD1 is 15 but DD2 will only be 13 so we wouldn't be able to stay there though it does sound idyllic

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Costa Adjeje 18 months ago it is a fantastic hotel we had junior suites with sea view and it has an infinity pool which is really nice to sit round. The buffet restaurant was brilliant and the sea food, spanish and italian were well doing. A real all inclusive everything was included even the mini bar in the room stocked with beer, water and pop. The best bit is the little beach bar were you can sit and drink beer. Not much around but a great all inclusive hotel if you want class and style - oh and the staff were great and the housekeepers cleaned really well. If you want to know more feel free to ask

Hi, I stayed at the Bahia Principe last August for 2 weeks. There are two hotels joining I stayed at the quieter one of the two. Lovely hotel, food fantastic, kids loved it, did get a bit "cabin fever" there for 2 weeks, but met lovely people. Very clean, lovely hotel, I would go again, but maybe for just one week.

I'm so glad that you've given it the thumbs up as we booked it last night. Out of interest would 3 of us be able to sleep in 1 room as DD's are not sure about sharing with nana, their at that sensitive age about getting dressed etc.

Our friends next door stay there every time they go to Tenerife, they love it. Costa Adeje is a couple of miles from Las Americas, and a lot quieter then Las Americas. But nice by all means. You can get a taxi into Las Americas for the night life if you like, not sure if there's much of it in Costa Adeje. The hotel is top notch and mostly All Inclusive if you like that sort of thing( not my kind of place, all inclusive). They love it and have had lots of good times there.
