View Full Version : Park touring strategy for Easter Hols

I'm starting to devise a rough itinerary for next Easter holidays and am wondering due to the crowds how it would be best to do it.
We'll be going 2 April and Good Friday is 10 April so I presume the parks will be busy the whole time we're there?
Would it be easier to take advantage of Early Magic Mornings and leave the parks early afternoon when it's busy or to following the Touring Plans quiet days recommendations?
What have people that have been at Easter done before?
Thanks :)

We did Easter a couple of years ago. The first week was pretty quite. The second week was horrendous. I have never seen as many people! Tried to go to TL got there 10 mins after opening and it was full. MK was the busiest, waiting times of hours. If you are staying onsite I would use the EMH, and take full advantage of the fast passes. Good Luck. I am sure you will have a great time.

I would go for EMH and then when it starts to get busy, get out of there! Go somewhere else that is quieter. If it's really heaving, try Epcot which seems to cope with the crowds better.
Definitely get up early, and also try evenings - we went to the EMH in the evening a few times and it was very quiet (admittedly not easter week but compared to normal daytimes it was deserted). AK in the evening was really magical and really empty!

We went there at Easter this year, did Animal Kingdom on Easter Sunday and IOA on the Monday. Both parks were surprisingly quiet, got there for just after opening and barely had to queue. Think the longest was 20 mins for Spiderman. On the Sunday we were actually 2 hours early for our ADR at RC as we'd been on all the rides (some of them twice!). We finished in AK by 12.30 and IOA about 3pm. Can't say about Good friday as we only flew on the saturday. May have been different this year however, due to FL schools having spring break later. We've been twice before at Easter though and never found the parks too busy (apart from Epcot 2 years ago, no queues under 2 hours, we left really early.) HTH :)
