Visiting in a couple of weeks. Can you recommend any Chinese Buffets or reasonably priced Chinese Restaurants in the City Centre, and any good breakfast places?
Thanks.

Loon Wah is nice but the Kweilin is also good too, neither are a buffet style. For something a bit different or for a special night out try Wok and Wine, I think they have a website.
Enjoy

For a buffet I'd also go for JC.
They also have another located off Lothian Rd, depends on where you are staying.

For best priced brekkie I'd choose one of the department stores on Princes St for a decent priced cooked breakfast.
BHS, Debenhams, Fraser (I think they still do but its been a while) Jenners a bit more up market.
Valvona and Crolla for an Italian breakfast at the top of leith walk is good for something a bit different
What area are you staying in?

There is a chinese buffet out near the gyle thats much better than Jimmy Chungs, but you would need a car or bus to get there.
However if we are in Princes Street we always end up at JC's.
There are a lot of eating places at the omni but dont know about breakfst, I'm never in town that early.
DS goes to Greggs on the way to school sometimes (keep finding the bags in his blazer pocket) so there must be one near Haymarket!

We're on Willowbrae Road. Is it walkable from here to town? We have the car but don't really want to take it in. I'm reliably informed that a 44 bus will get us there and back but we're happy to walk where possible.

It's about 2.5 miles from Willowbrae Road to the East End of Princess St.
The bus service in Edinburgh is reasonably good.
Route maps and timetables can be found here, it's best to avoid taking the car if you can.

If you zoom into the east of the city you'll see the 44 route and Willowbrae Rd on the map.
I can't think of anywhere obvious to eat closer than the city centre.
The omni centre between Leith walk and Princess St has a range of eating places, including a chinese buffet.

Haven't used it so can't comment.
The centre is OK for daytime and evening times but personally I'd avoid it for late night ventures.

Also eaten at China China a couple of times, before going into the comedy show place in the centre. Not outstanding but pass marks and would certainly eat there again.

The only one I've tried is Jimmy Cheungs also. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food but DH is a mega fan and he loves this for a buffet style Chinese.
You just head straight out of Waverly station and its at the top of the hill on the left hand side - can't miss it!

We have always enjoyed Buffet King, not too sure about how to explain where it is, only that it is round the corner from the National Museum. The kids always liked it because it was where JK Rowling wrote the 1st Harry Potter book!

Another vote for Jimmy Chungs, we had a very pleasant Dibb meet there a while ago. Also very easy to find and central for transport etc.
We used to enjoy a good brekkie at BHS, but not been for years so can't say if it's still nice.
