We fancy doing Cinderella's Royal Table lunch, and you can't go to a Royal Banquet dressed in t-shirt and shorts, can you? So we'd plan to get changed into nice clothes for the kids, summer frock for the wife and me in the kilt... but that's hardly practical for the rest of the day.

So, is there somewhere that we could get changed before and after the meal?

Don't think they mind what you wear. Shorts and T shirts are standard and acceptable in most restaurants etc. I have a feeling that if anyone is dressed up it will be kids dressing as princesses.

There are toilets etc. all over the MK but nothing more than normal, and lockers just inside the entrance (near the first set of toilets) under the train station.

There are reviews on trip advisor.com and information on allears.net about dining experiences.

You don't need to get changed for the restaurant (everyone else will be in theme park attire) but if you really want to, I guess the toilets would be about your best bet - or ask nicely at somewhere like the Baby Care Centre if they're not busy?

I noticed that the little 'trainee princesses' like to dress as their favourite. Ours were Jasmine and Snow White - unfortunately Jasmine was busy that day but Snow White did make a point of giving a little extra attention.

Most adults were just in normal park clothes - e.g. shorts and teeshirt.

The kids sometimes get dressed up, but not the adults. You would be overdressed in a kilt I think.

We went for dinner at CRT with our shorts and t shirts on and almost every adult there was the same only the kids were dressed up. You may feel a little overdressed and carrying more than you need to whilst going round the park before dinner. :tinkani: :tinkani: :tinkani:

Okay, that seems fairly unanimous then :)

Thanks for the feedback,

I think it's lovely that you would want to dress up with your kids for the dining experience. Who cares if you might be over dressed? You are obviously a proud scotsman.
I say go for it. It will be a memory your kids will cherish for a long time - unless they are embarrased at dad wearing a kilt! ;)

I have to agree

I think its fab you would want to wear your kilt to dinner ! Like everyone says most people will be in theme parks clothes but why not dress up ? It will make a lovely photo and just think of the extra attention you may get ?

Your not walking around the park in it your only changing for dinner although your wife could wear her summer dress around the park, it should keep her cool.

If you want to do it then i would.
