Thanks in advance if anyone can help!!!
:wavey:
Manchester city isn't at maine road anymore, it's at eastlands now.
You can get a bus into manchester town center from there it's only about 15-20 mins ride if that, or you could stay in a travelodge at Ashton Moss (8 miles from manchester),just a straight run to the stadium. It's 3.5 miles from the stadium.

Transport links are really good in Manachester following the Commonwealth Games a few years ago ......don't stress too much over being near the grounds....just make sure you are on/ near the appropriate transport links to the grounds. :)
Useful link for you here (or anyone else wanting accommodation for a football match in this country for that matter);

Hi :wavey:
thanks all for your tips, links and words of support - what a nice bunch you are. Unfortunately I think the chance of us getting tickets are very remote. Only 16000 being distributed to each club for their fans - rediculous but what you come to expect. Apparently the ground holds 44000 as well!!
I've actually got ahotel booked now with a gang of us that are coming down in a mini bus. It's in Wigan :omg: but they seem happy with that arrangement so I'll just follow the pack!! So excited about going even if I don't have a ticket just to the the atmosphere etc.
thanks again everyone :wavey: :thumbs-up
Fionagee,
with your sons choice of footie top on photos are you sure you want to go to the final in Manchester? :-(

Hi Shaz :wavey:
Unfortunately all the boys in my family are Celtic Fans :( I married a celtic fan and both my boys turned to Celtic and my daughter says she's Rangers but in reality she couldn't care less abut football!! I had a Season Ticket for Rangers for 22 years and just gave it up this season due to other commitments - what a season to give up eh? and DS has a Season Ticket for Celtic!!! The boys are getting them next year.
Very observant of you thou Sha :d: :d:

I tried for ages yesterday to book a hotel room for my Boss, in the end we looked through the Veterinary Book with all the Vets in Manchester in it and phoned one, explained who we were and if they knew of any B+ B's, they booked him into a farmhouse so alls well that ends well LOL.
Just to add there's always this place in Manchester which not everyone knows about http://www.oldtraffordlodgehotel.co.uk/
It's actually at Old Trafford cricket ground.
