Hi all

Taking my mum with us to Disney for the first time and she only wants to do some of the parks so only needs certain tickets. So I need to know the best options available for the following parks.

Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
MGM Studios

Seaworld
Universal Studios

She definitely does not want to do any other parks and I was wondering if it is best to buy all tickets seperately and if it is where is the best place to go for seperate tickets. Looked at the Disney packaged tickets and they don't seem to cater for these options.

Any help would be most appriciated :wavey:

Many thanks

Kevin

Assuming only 1 day at each park a 3 day MYW base ticket for Disney available online from Disney.com or any US ticket seller, and a one day ticket for Universal Studios and Seaworld, both from their respective websites or US sellers.

I'd be wary of limiting the ticket options for first timers as they really don't realise how much there is to see or what they are missing. Why would you want to see US and not IOA and to miss out Epcot and the water parks?

Look on undercover tourist you can buy a magic your way ticket for the disney parks either with or without the option of hopping. You would then need a separate ticket for Seaworld and Universal, depending on how many times you visit Universal it may be worth getting the seven day ticket, as it is only slightly more than the one day ticket.

Look at Disney Magic Your Way (http://www.mapleleaftickets.com/disney_tickets.htm#Magic%20Your%20Way%20Base) tickets, 3 day ticket is $216.00, she could get a 5 day ticket for $221 which would give her some flexibility if it rained or she decided she really loved Disney parks! 2 extra days for under £3 is a pretty good buy.

1 day / 1 park (http://secure.universalstudios.com/webstore/shop/ViewItems.aspx?Merchant=UOMainOnline&CategoryGroupExternalID=UOMainB&CategoryExternalID=UOTPTLiveB) at Universal is $70 + tax, 7 days is $81.

1 day at Seaworld (http://www.seaworld.com/sitepage.aspx?PageID=196)(with a 2nd day free) is $57

Just curious why not Epcot, I would have thought it would be the most interesting park for an older person (and I am making vast assumptions about your mum here!), World Showcase is lovely for a stroll and no scary rides, just loads of astmosphere and yummy food.

Thanks all

some really good options here that I did not know were out there. :thumbs-up

One thing I forgot is that my mum wants to come to downtown Disney on more than one occasion. Do these tickets give this option?

As for Epcot, it is my favourite park too but DW said if I am going to drag her to the Kennedy Space Centre then it's a no to Epcot (too much spacey stuff was the exact comment) :d: Plus we went there last time so I do not mind giving in on this one (Not that I had much choice He! He!)

again thanks for the help it really is much appriciated.

Regards

Kevin

Assuming that she justs wants to wander about the shops, get something to eat etc, then no ticket is necessary.

Of course if she fancies a bit of Disney Quest or Pleasure Island then that's a different matter. ;)

Good news about the money, just out of interest is Fultons Crab House get-to-able (Is that a word? :confused2 ) without paying? And how much is down town disney? Tried looking on the site and can't find it anywhere.

Thanks again

Downtown Disney is free.

It's only the night clubs that charge an entrance fee.
