Hi can someone help - we are dvc members and going out in december
We are going on the ddp, and will more than likely be going to mickeys christmas party, we go on a 3 night cruise in the middle of staying at saratoga. can someone tell me whether they think the annual pass would be worth buying? what are the benefits? we would have to go for the premium one as we love the water parks, any advice?

Hi Claire

You trip sounds the same as ours....:)
Are you planning another trip with in the year, so that you would get 2 trips out of your AP?
Personally I think the AP's are worth it, especially with our DVC discount.
To view AP benefits look Here (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/passholder/learnMore?id=PassholderLearnMorePage)

from your countdown you fly out just before us, when are you cruising? We cannot decide what to do in 2009 and realise it would be really worth it if we did go back then, what are some of the benefits, does it give you any benifits in paris??? clairexx

You can get some discounts on hotel rooms, which is not that useful as a DVC member, and some discounts on shopping but I think unless you are planning a 2nd trip they aren't really worth it.

14 day Premium is £163, Premium AP is $483.51 with the discount. That's £245, so if you are making a 2nd trip then yes they are a good price, and if you manage to get some good room savings, then they can be a good buy, but just for the shopping savings, I don't think I would bother personally. £82 each seems like a lot extra to me.

Hi Claire

We are cruising Dec 4th:)

We bought the AP for our trip last year, but we were there for 3 weeks and we did plan to go back in Sept 08, but I changed my mind and decided to go back Dec 08, so didn't really get the best use out of it.
I will not be renewing ours, but buying a new one as we have booked to go back next year.
I don't think the AP gives you any benefits for DLPR, I might be wrong though.

I missed that bit, a wdw AP gives no benefits at DLP, but a DLP AP offers some great discounts and is relatively cheap (I think the same as a 4 day hopper)
