I have been hearing good things about the restaurant.
Wondering how busy is it?
Seems like a child friendly, family restaurant can any one say for sure?
thanks in advance

It is very friendly and very busy... well worth the wait.... they have plenty of seats near the bar area to wait and get a drink. It's not posh or anything it is quite casual so don't dress up.... but the food is worth it!

That's what you get for having a Mr potato Head... wally! It is a looooooooooooooooooooooooong way down on the 27 but it is on the right hand side and you could easily drive past it... it doesn't jump out at you as you go past if you know what I mean.

Yep I second that !
You can ring ahead though and they'll put your name on a wait list and often if you're at the bar waiting for a while they offer you a complimentary drink.
It might be a 20 min drive for you 'islanbonita' from EI but you could team it up with a trip to Walmart opposite or say on the way back from Eagle Ridge mall....?
Hi,
We try and visit Manny's whenever we are on holiday (although it is a good 30 mins from us) It is about 5 minutes drive past Southern Dunes.
We normally ring and reserve a table as we are normally in a big party, and you do sometimes still have to wait a while to be seated.
The food is great !! They bring you some warm rolls & salad to keep you going until your meal arrives. (as far as I can remember I don't think they charge you for them !)
They also have special nights - we tried the "buy one fajitis get one free" last year and they were delicious !!
Well worth a visit :thumbs-up

Definitely recommend it.

Another vote for mannys, its very casual, very very busy, you'd be best to ring ahead and they will put you at the top of the wait list, otherwise it can be an hour plus wait, but deffinatly worth it,

Was in there last Tuesday about 7pm and it was busy but got seated within 5 mins, from 4-7pm is happy hour drinks are 2 for 1...
Salad and bread rolls can be filling so be carefull as main course can be large and as to date we have never been able to have a desert...
A good landmark to watch out for is the Police Stn as Mannys is by it and although it does have a large sign outside it does get hidden a bit by other signs....
We were in there couple of Fridays ago. Had to wait an hour or so but had chat with other people and few drinks very pleasant.
Food was great and well worth the wait. Rolls and salad delicious.
Here are some photos but they dont do the food justice.

We were there on Easter Sunday. It was very busy but we saw a sign that said you can eat at the bar without a wait. So we did.
Will definitely go back next time.

Thanks for the pics it looks lovely. Manny's Chophouse is on the menu for August. I think we will stay away from it on the weekends but I bet during the week it should be fine or early evening.
We have just got back from Florida today and went to Mannys 4 times in 15 days and never had a bad meal. The steaks are the best but the whole ambiance is what makes the place. It is very busy but as mentioned earlier, the call ahead service is great.

We loved Manny's when we stayed at Southern Dunes recently. My tip; go on Monday or tuesday before 6 p.m. - kids eat free, drinks are 2 for 1, and they do an early bird menu. You still get the bottomless salad bowl and yeasty rolls free too! A family really could eat well, and have 2 glasses of wine for $25 before tip. Try the New york strip steak or the full rack of ribs (neither on the Early Bird, sadly).
Help, I'm salivating onto my keyboard!!!
Mike.
