Can any one help please?

A few weeks ago I found a thread with a link to either google earth or live maps that allowed you to walk your way through a city/town. I think it was New York but it may have San Fransisco - I cant remember which one it was!! I was wanting to show a friend it as he didnt believe me that you could do it so I was hoping that whoever put the link on would put it on again or if someone else could point me to the thread. I have been searching for the last 45 minutes and had no luck in finding it.

Dont know, LOL!! but I will take a look thank you. Ian seems to think it was google earth but we cant find the "walking" people.

TAKEN A LOOK NOW AND IT WASNT THAT. What we were looking at was like a realtime street level and it felt like you were really there. Will just have to keep looking!!

Yes it's on Google Earth.

They have New York and San Fransisco.

if you go to Google Earth and pick a large US City (San Fran is good). Zoom into about 5km and ensure that the box on the left in the 'layers' dialogue that says Street View is clicked. Click on any of the cameras and that will zoom you into the street view.

Hi thanks for that.

I have done Google earth and clicked on the camera and you do get the street but when I took a look before it had a little person on it and the streets you could "walk down" had blue lines on them. You could also do it at Orlando too, down the 192 etc. but try as I can I just cant find it again!!! Typical when I want to show someone else it and they will think I made it up, LOL!!!

I will keep looking!
