We did it a couple of years ago and the boys thoroughly enjoyed it. the food was good - buffet - not a huge selection, but it was well done and plenty of it. The only thing we noticed was that all the Americans seemed to get the front row of tables (there are two rows) so were obviously closer to the whales ?????

i know this sounds really stupid, lol but what do you mean when you say they were closer to the whales? Are you under ground and they are swimming around in the tank? How do i go around booking this?

Theres a separate tank behind the main show tank where they bring the whales for the close up and personal talk. Around the edge of this tank - one side- are the tables, with a second row slightly behind the first so are about 8 feet further away. Its outside with a canopy over the top of the area and is obviously shielded from the main park.
Don't know how you get around it, when we queued up to get in, we all had the same tickets so don't know if there is anyway you could ensure you get the closest table. I suppose you could "bend the truth" a bit when you book and say its someones birthday who would love to get as close as possible to the whales and you might get one close? Someone out there will have the answer I'm sure :wavey:

We've had really good poolside tables both times we've been and didn't do anything to get them! There's been some discussion on here about it being a first come first served thing so the earlier you book the better your table is but I don't know whether this is true

we have been a few times now and always been sittng at the front next to to the rope, it has changed format a couple of times, with the addition of the neck pass etc, but it is still great regardless of the seat because you are so close you can see everything, some people prefer the second table as sometimes you can get a bit wet if you are right at the front
