Anyone know if there are any events in october next year, my boys are daft over monster trucks and would love to take them to see it

You're probably best Googling that one,there are some dated for January 2009 but I suppose it depends when you're there. :smile:
If you go to Fun Spot next to Old Town, they have the World`s biggest monster truck called Bigfoot, which is the one that used to be outside Race Rock. :-)

Hiya... we also go over in October and when searchin for other things to do we found the Monster truck Mayhem, truck or treat is on the 25th of Oct... are you still there?...
its in the Silver Spurs Arena on the 192... tickets are £17 per adult and $14? i think for kids under 9... looks great!!! :thumbup:heres the link if you want to have a look at it http://www.monstertruckmayhem.net/.. you can also puchase your tickets from there.. if you have a credit card or arrange for you to collect them onsite when you get there but you must have the card you paid for the tickets with your signature and photo i.d
still looks like it would be a great day.. the shows on at 2pm or 7pm.. hope your there for it your wee man will love it!!:thumbs-up

hiya we live in craigellachie, its next october we go, we are going from newcastle this time, that site looks great, hope you enjoy it:grin:will keep an eye on it for next years date etc

We usually get them a couple times a year. Bookmark Amp Events (http://www.ampliveevents.com/) and keep an eye on it as your dates get closer. The site to bookmark is Monster Jam (http://www.monsterjamonline.com/home).

We saw this show last year and it was brilliant! We fly back on the 21st :( so will miss it this year or we would defintely have gone again.

The Monster Jam Monster Trucks (Grave Digger/Ultimate Destruction etc) are back at the Millenium Staduim in Cardiff in June 09.. we went this year and it was a really good day out... will be back again next yr

For those travelling in Oct.. theres also DAYTONA BIKETOBER FESTIVAL from the 16th to 19th Oct... it WELL worth a visit.. doesnt cost anythin either just show up and walk around... its summin else!!!..for the O.C.C (ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPER) fans out there the Tuetels are gonna be there and V-FORCE (vinnie and codie) previous employees of O.C.C have started up theyre own customs building and will be puttin in a guest appearance also.. we met the Tuetels in 05 ..

We are in row K for the monster trucks, looking forward to Daytona although haven't decided on a day yet
We fly from Gatwick but are staying at a hotel the night before.

OMG DH would LOVE this. He's a big fan of the Tuetels. I've shown him this post and he's interested but he's not sure about it. He thinks DS will get bored. How long does it take to get to Daytona? I'm thinking that we could go to Kennedy then head to Daytona and stay overnight and then go to the Biketober festival the following day. I guess it all depends if there is something there to keep DS amused. How long were the Tuetels there for the last time?

We tried this a few years ago.. we just did the Rocket garden at KSC, though now to see that you have to pay and do the full tour... then we went up (or is it down) to Daytona... i dont think if your doing a tour at KSC you will have time to do Daytona too.

The Tuetels and V Force ( vinnie and cody ex employees from O.C.C ) are going to be there from 16th -19th Oct... not sure if theyre there all the days or not.. they were only there that one day in 05 when we saw em..we went on an allocated day for it but when we found out they were going to be there we ditched Busch Gardens to go.. our thoughts were Busch will be there another time we go.. Tuetels may not, when we went in Mar 07 they were there but we never saw em.. couldnt find them but met the guy Covington who made the Discovery Channel bike.. theres always a celebrity of some sort there..
Took us 2 hours to drive there.. but its busier at weekends.. got stuck in traffic.. but the road there is great.. once you hit the I4 you see all the bikers makin there way up.. all kinds of bikes and all ages .. takes the boredom out of the run cos there was bikes always approaching from behind..plenty piccies when theyre along side..the kids were waving out the windows at them and we've pics of them waving back, doin the rock you sign and thumbs up,kids - DS1 & DD1 (7) & DD2 (4) at the time and they were never bored.. loved it as much as we did..theyre 10, 10 and 7 now and so looking forward to going back.. and we're not a burly biker family ;) the artwork on the bikes is amazing, we armed them with our old digi camera and they got some really good pics
well worth it.. and its free.. we didnt have to pay for parking either and got trolley thing to transport us to the Daytona race way ( we had parked behind it)
wouldnt think you'de be diappointed :thumbs-up

We went to the 2008 Monsterjam at cardiff had a brilliant time did you go to the pit party before got to meet all the drivers (especially Tom Ments :spin: )and get close up to the trucks just booked for 2009 also going to the World Finals in Las Vegas in march now that should be something else.

Yep we went to the pit party , we liked Tom Meets and the Grave Digger, we are also going again next year. We will probably do the Las Vegas Finals in 2010 if its near to the NASCAR race as we are going over for that.
We have promised Connor that next time we go to North Carolina (hopefully next October) we will take him to the Grave Digger race shop.

Would love to see the Monster Jam in Orlando but we only get to visit Florida when NASCAR is at Daytona.. i know they do testing in January but thats not good enough for the other half !!

When we were there in January 2007 we missed it by one day,we were gutted.
