Been looking at all the tickets etc, and it is so overwhelming of what to purchase, I am getting in a right tizz over it.

As it is our first family wdw visit, should we be booking lots of different attractions and parks, or just get the ultimate 14 day pass?

I am worrying that we might book too much, or buy too many tickets, I dont want to be so busy and exhausted that we end up craming it all in...and not enjoying it all as much.

I know we will return without a doubt. So I know we will end up visiting it all, hopefully over the years to come.

It is better the draw up an itinerary to see where you want to go before purchasing any tickets.

It works out cheaper to buy the 14 day Disney pass, because you pay separately for each person to each park it will work out so much more expensive!

I would also advice the Orlando Flexi ticket
http://www.attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk/orlando-flexticket/index.htm

Read this webpage for more info

Both tickets give you unlimited access to all the parks stated for each ticket for the whole 14 days(if this is the duration you choose for the tickets). At least then you can do what you want when you want. There is hardly any price difference between the 7 day and 14 day pass anyway.

The link above also gives you info in the Disney Passes and offers them both at competitive prices!

We ordered our tickets off here and i cant praise them enough. They came within about 3 days of ordering them and they were much cheaper than anywhere else...

Hope this has been of help to you!

My concern is buying too many tickets for our first visit.. the long term cost is'nt a worry, more a case of making sure we dont over do it with loads of attraction tickets, and not enough time to fit it all in..

It is also my first visit and had the same debate! We opted to buy MYW tickets 10 day base ticket (3 of us DD is 3) = £350 and also planning to get seaworld ticket as felt we def won't be doing disney for 14 days as wanted to get seaworld in but also some shopping so didn't see the point...you can get diff combo's of these tickets so that you can go to 2 parks in one day hoppers or non expiry so might be worth a look. I booked through

www.undercovertourist.com

and found the service great. shop around to see what best suits you and the family to get the best deal

I think the best advice is to do an itinery, and then you can see what tickets you will need and how many ect.

Don;t forget, especially as this is our first time, you will need to have a few days in between when you take it easy. It is a very enerjectic holiday!!!!

Try and write a rough itinery, type it up in a post on here and then more experienced hands can give you a few pointers on what you want to do.

The 14 day ultimate ticket is such good value, even if you don't choose to use it to it's full benefit.

You'll probably not save much (if anything) by buying anything less and you'll have the flexibility of going to any of the parks anytime without any limitations.

If you want to do any of the other parks - Universal, Sea World, etc - the Orlando flexticket is also great value.

i have the same problem and know we will be going back i have decided to buy the 10 day magic your way non expiry the kids want to do universal and they have great deals on at the moment so already purchased them and seaworld. as then i can choose how many days i want to do in disney im thinking of about 5 and 2 water parks that means that i will have 5 disney passes and 8 waterparks passes to use in future years and its alot cheaper and that way im not commited i can use them for 6 days or 7 if need be or cut back to 4 ill see when i get there and that means as they never expire it wont be a waste i think thats what the post above meant you save money if going back and youre not stuck to decide exactly how many days you want .

It's all about getting the balance right. 14 days of disney parks, imho, will exhaust you and there's so much more to see and do.

Other parks/activities can be so much more relaxing and mixed in with Disney can mean your energy levels are maintained throughout the holiday.

If you pm me your email address I'll gladly send you my plan from 2006 which worked a treat for us, but, the fortnight was broken up with water parks, shopping , bogey creek, Universal.

You still wont get everything done but at least you'll get a taste for what else that's out there!!

Happy planning!

When we first took the children we purchased the WDW 14 day Ultimate tickets and Seaworld 1 day (2nd day free). We found that was more than enough. We did go to a park each day but also changed parks (hopping) when at WDW. Sometimes we would do a morning or just a few hours afternoon or evening. It was still tiring.

The 14 day ultimate allowed us flexibility.
