Hi All, Just about to book an ADR at the Rose and crown in Epcot, and just wondered what's the best time to book it for ?
Bearing in mind we want to be there when the fireworks/show starts.

Regards......Ted

Hi Ted, you would need to book around 8-8.30pm I guess but the problem with the Rose & Crown is you can't specify where your table will be so you may well be seated inside the pub when the fireworks start!

When we went last year we booked for 8pm. Got our time slot no probs but were seated inside. When it comes to the fireworks you can go outside and they have a designated area to stand for Rose & Crown patrons.

Is it possible to say that you want a table outside when you check in and just wait a little longer if necessary? Some of the restaurants at the MK hotels let you do this, don't they?

Illuminations started at 9 when we were there and we had a 7.30 time slot but we turned up at 7.15. I did request a table on the terrace and we got one but they won't guarantee it and many don't get one. I wouldn't book a time much later than this as all the terrace tables would definitely be gone by around 8.
I don't think you can wait as I thought that seating was allocated on the basis that if you are next on the list then you get the next table thyat is suitable for your party, regardless of where it is situated. Could be wrong though!

We went last Sept and wanted a table on the terrace. We told them we were prepared to wait but they said we had to take the next available table.:( We were seated inside but they said we were welcome to go outside for the fireworks. When we got out there, there was a table right next to the water so we had an excellent view.:thumbs-up

Ted I would say to book for 7.30pm. I believe they give you a 2 hour slot for your meal so they would expect you to be there until 9.30pm.

Hi Ted, we booked for 7.30pm, but didn't actually get seated until around 8pm. It was a cold evening in April :confused2 so I actually requested to be sat inside. :) Our server was fantastic and she said that once Illuminations was about to start she would take us out side to their designated area and then we could go back inside to finish our meal.

We had just finished our main when she took us outside to a brilliant view and ....

'Good evening and welcome. We've gathered here tonight around the fire as people of all lands have gathered for thousands and thousands of years before us. ........ I hope you enjoy our story tonight, Reflections of Earth'....

Finallly....

Every evening brings an ending
Every day becomes a legacy
Every sunset leads to morning
With the promise of opportunity

We can reach for the stars we find along the way....

Doncha just love Illuminations :D

We returned inside to a fresh cup of coffee ... and my evening was complete. :)

p.s. I did notice that people who were eating outside had a canopy overhead and I guessed that this may obstruct their view of some of the higher fireworks.
