Seen Arabian Nights and wouldn't go back. Also seen Sleuths, enjoyed it and would go back if we went to these kind of shows twice (which we generally don't!). However, there are meant to be several different Sleuths shows so maybe it would be different if we went back. :) HTH!

Pushing extra charge stuff, Food, service and show wasn't really that great.

1. you get there and they try to get you have your photo taken with a pirate= extra charge, drinks= extra charge, front row, goodie bag = extra charge (bear in mind I think the tickets were $40 -50 each and kids are up to age 9 so even our 12 yr old had to pay adult price, which I don't think was much cheaper anyway)

2. food- in dark, dolloped out as server went along, he got to the end of one row and then started clearing up/changing dishes straight away. Supposed to be all you can drink but even if they notice you trying to get their attention in the dark they ignore you. Most of food was cold and extremely small portions, I don't have a big appetite but even I was still hungry.

3. service - after the food had been dealt with a tray was put in front of you (everyone - no checking if you were in a group - even the kids)with a suggested tip amount, this was based on the whole ticket price not just the food bit. To tell the truth I wish we had been brave enough to not put anything down but I think we still put a $10 or 20, couldn't see in the dark!

4. I don't remember much audience participation in the show which just seemed to consist of pirates swinging across the galleon on ropes. After the show you are invited to a "party" with cake but this was just a scrum and very like a nightclub, so totally unsuitable for kids, and just a way to get more money out of you for drinks.

This was 4 years ago so memory may be a bit rusty but never again. However buffalo bills at dlp was real family entertainment, food still not great but at least plenty of it, hot and you could see what you were eating. I think it was about 38E each.

Medieval Times - gone on each of our three visits and is a favourite place of DS (now 9) and even our middle DS who was 16 at the time enjoyed it (about the only thing he did as well :confused2 ). Storyline is good, lots of action & chances to interact (well lots of cheering and waving for 'your knight' and lots of booing the opposition) and the food was okay as well.

Done
Arabian Knights didn't seem that good wouldn't go back, food was not great, service rubbish, show okay

Pirates was fun, we all got picked to particpate in preshow and main show, food was ok, drinks they where slow but I got two jugs as I asked, after show was fun I ended up sword fighting most of the kids at the show while their parents had a coffee and a laugh watching

Dixie Stampede was best but gone now

SW Luau great show, great food been 4 times now

Dine with Shamu, great food, rubbish interaction, terrible service, worst ever

We did Pirates a few years ago. We wouldn't go back. Food was pretty poor and the entertainment was hard to follow whilst eating. Service was rubbish as servers seemed to have a set routine and any deviation from this resulted in a either a scowl or hurumph.

We're going to Hoop Dee Doo this year. Really looking forward to it, majority of reviews have been very positive. So fingers crossed.

We did Arabian nights this time, and loved it. Plenty of beer and wine (although am sure it was watered down) The food was good, bearing in mind its mass catering, OH had steak which was cooked medium perfect for him, and i had chicken which was lovely. The veggies were cooked al dente and the mash had no lumps and was garlicky and creamy. OH and I love good food, and this was cooked perfectly.

The show was a bit cheesey but the horses and riders were amazing...DS and DD loved it all.

you book theses on disney dining ,ADR ,when we went HDDR and Spirit of Aloha could be booked up to 2 years out. not sure as it all changed about a year ago.
Spirit of Aloha , food was good but would not go again, but do not let opinions put you off ,it was worth doing the once.
HDDR, is like an old saloon show back in western times, a bit slap stick but very good as was the food , would go again.

We did Arabian Nights and we wouldn't bother again. It was really dark and you couldn't see what you were eating - probably a good job because the food was awful. At the end of the show the waiter came and stood in front of everyone with his plate waiting for a tip.

Would have liked to try Dixie Stampede - pity it is no longer there.

We went to the Sleuths show a couple of weeks back and it was awful, the "theatre" (a big room) was poor, the show was worse and the food apalling.

Have done capones a few times, I would recommend it, good show and good food.

I thought I saw somewhere the Dixie Stampede may open at another location - anyone know anything at all?

I think this was the best of a poor lot.
