they would have to be very careful - SPF 50 at the very least! Also the sand gets very hot.

There definitely is at least one unofficial one, as my sister in law and her DH visited one. Her DH is German and they are much more comfortable with nudity than I am, and certainly more than the Americans' are, but I know they went to one not far from Kennedy Space Centre, I think Merrit Island?
Google should be able to tell you exactly where.

Sorry still 'smirking' about nudist beaches if that makes me childish then I am.:omg:
But saying that I don't have anything against nudist beaches or the people who use them. but the subject will always bring a smile to peoples faces and always without fail generate a joke or 2!!:pgig::pgig:

Something to point out about Playalinda is that it isn't legally a nude beach but something they turn their eye to. It is in Titusville and is adjacent to one of the launch pads (a great way to see the shuttle when it is on the pad....they close the beach just prior to launch....it is on the flip side of the pad that you see when you take the bus tour at Kennedy Space Center).
The beach itself has no vendors so you will have to bring your own food and supplies that you would need. They do have parking and restroom facilities. There are 12 or 13 parking areas and if you want to go to the nude area you would need to park at the last lot and then walk about 1/2 mile down as they respect the public who aren't there for that purpose.
There are rangers that patrol (out of all the years I've been...lived here 30+ years I've only seen two) and they can give you a ticket for exposure but they often give a warning.
I love this beach since it is unpopulated and you can just escape from everything. The water itself tends to be a bit rougher than other beaches and there are no lifeguards so you need to use common sense....but hopefully that is happening at all beaches.
It would take you about 1 hour from the I-Drive area.
A couple of pictures to give you an idea:

Like I said, a great view of the launch pad. I've driven people over to the beach just for that view.

Nudist beaches, I thought even topless bathing was frowned on in the US?????????????:confused2:confused2:confused2:omg: :omg:
Nudist beaches thats a bit scary. Have you seen how fat some of the Americans are? Do they take their electric wheelchairs onto the beach?

Whoa ha!! :pgig:
I'm not a prude or anything but I just don't get why people wanna go totally nude on the beach.
When I went to Gran Canaria one year a German women got nude about 6 ft in front of me (yeah, cheers for that love).. and then bent right over to put sun tan cream on the bottom of her legs!!
I love getting a tan but I've got to have some white bits to see how well it's progressed. :d:
Surprised actually, thought the Americans were anti flesh exposure.
