We've got a day or two in Naples at the beginning of our holiday. Anyone got any ideas of things to do (fairly relaxing please:spin:) and where the best beaches are?

Naples is a fantastic area with wonderful beaches, shops and restaurants.
Try the City Tour onboard a little trolley bus which you pick up near Tin City, another place wrth looking around. You can get on and off when you like and takes around 2.5 hours.
We quite like Clam Pass beach - you park in the public car park and get the little shuttle (like a big golf cart) which takes you on a mile boarwalk to the beach.

I went to Naples about 10yrs ago and I can remember there being lots of nice shops - and if you like golf then you're going to the right place!!

Thanks, that looks like our day all sorted out then. The children will love the idea of riding on a golf cart to the beach.

Thanks, shops sound great. Unfortunately golf is out of the question with 3 children!

You have to do the sunset next to the pier! It's a lovely beach and the little birds run in and out of the water whilst the peilcans dive in to catch fish and, if you're lucky, the dolphins can also be spotted playing just off shore. Truely beautiful! :thumbs-up:D

That sounds fantastic, I can't wait now:spin:
I went to Naples about 14 years ago:erm: and took a boat cruise around the coast. Some fantastic properties, I think Cher and Elton John had places there at the time.
It absolutely poured down, but we dried out quickly and enjoyed the trip.

That sounds great too! Too much to do now, we're going to need more days!
I agree you shouldn't miss sunset at the pier. There's lots of good restaurants and shops but it's also a very relaxing beach place too.
Naples is lovely. We stopped off at the Vanderbildt hotel for lunch after our airboat tour. The beach was even nicer than the one at Clearwater. The sand was white as could be and very soft. We did a tour down to the Gulf of Mexico drinking cocktails as we went - it was fantastic! We sailed past the most beautiful houses. I could but wish!
Watch out though. Judge Judy lives there. :omg:

There is also a zoo at Naples

I went Naples about 10 years ago have to say the beach was fantastic but i wasn't really keen on the place. Felt like people eyed you up and down when you went in some shops.
Like someone said further up the houses are amazing there the gold courses are great too.
I'm sure you'll find lots to do :).
Scott.

Then why not try Coral Cay Mini Golf? Its very close to Tin City and good way to pass an hour or so one evening with youngsters.
We also did the Trolley Bus Tour, you can hop off and wander round anywhere and pick up the next bus coming along, we stopped for an Ice Cream cone at the Ben & Jerry's shop :tounge:
