Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone had some good ideas for hotels on a budget but still good quality. Hoping for a hotel with free transport to the parks as well if possible. Last time we visited we stayed at Quality Inn International which was perfectly fine but a bit steep on transport to Disney.

Hi
We have stayed at Quality and Rodeway. Both have to pay for transport. Have heard through family members that Wynfield Inn is nice, free transport to Disney & Universal and within walking distance to Seaworld. Worth having a look

We have just got home from the Homewood Suites on Monday and it's a great choice.

You get a free breakfast in the morning, a light supper Mon - Thur which we found enough after eating in the parks at lunchtime (this saved us loads of money) two computers with free internet access. Free shuttle buses to all parks and free parking.

Rooms were really clean with loads of room. It's also listed as the 2nd best hotel in orlando on trip advisor.

Please ask if you want any more details.

Last year we stayed at the Comfort Inn Universal, it had free Brekkie and free transport to the parks all for £17.75 a night with Alpha rooms, we could have had 5 people in the room for this price, the Brekkie was really good. it at the corner of Sandlake road, just one street down from IDrive

We managed to get Fairfield Inn & Suites on I Drive through Virgin for £406 for 14 nights, with free brekkie. Thats in king size suite. Cracking price I thought for the reviews it's had on trip advisor. Then you could get I trolley to Seaworld and #50 bus to Disney.

Homewood is situated on the south of the Drive about halfway between Sandlake Rd and Seaworld. It is in a great position just beside a host of restaurants including Bahama Breeze, TGIs, Olive Garden, Tony Romas and lots more. It is also between Pointe Orlando and Mercado. We often walked to these at night. It is situated just back from I Drive making it very quiet. You save a fortune staying there because not only is it cheap to stay there to start with but the buffet breakfast and evening food and drink are free along with all the shuttles. Great hotel!

i give my vote to homewood suites also, stayed here 3 years ago and going back this sept, it is really good value for money, the breakfast is great and will keep you going most of the day as well as the free suppers mon to thurs you can get free tea or coffee all day as well, we never used the free shuttles but i think they go to both disney and universal.

I've just booked Econolodge Inn & Suites (previously Best Western Plaza) for £130 for 7 nights (with discount code and then I'll get another 10% off with Quidco). It has free transport to all the parks and is ideally situated for lots of cheap eateries:grin:

We used Best Western Plaza International in December 2006 and we had a great stay. You get free transport to Disney, US IOA and Seaworld too. We booked through United Vacations and a room for four including two kids who stayed free, it was about £500 for two weeks. Have a look at their brochure.

Alpha rooms was giving good quotes but we have booked package with TCD - £2300 for the 4 of us in April!
Totally agree about Homewood Suites. It is a really great hotel, brilliant position on I-Drive, free shuttles to parks, free brekky (which you can take back to room), hotel staff - wonderful, pool not brill - but you are allowed to use sister hotels pool, so not really a problem!

We found it brilliant & booked again to go next year!
