Typhoon Lagoon refurbishment

Does anyone know if Typhoon Lagoon closes at the same time every year for refurbishment? Last time I went in October and it was closed. I am going again in October this year and hope it will be open.

Typhoon Laggon closed from Dec 14th 2003 - Feb 28 2004.

Not sure about next year - Disney websit eonly shows 4 months ahead.
