We bought a Tom Tom 910 last year, it does work wth blue tooth, have used it up and down the UK many times with no problems, also no problems in France and Florida :cool2: You can also download films, music and new voices for free  much to the amusement of our kids who love Yoda the Jedi's voice :d:

Everyone has their personal favourite but I went on the recommendation of a trucker who said that TomTom was the easiest to use.
I think he's right, had my Go510 for just over a year, no problems, ticks all your boxes.
But you have to try them, go to Halfords and put a few through their paces.

Got a Garmin 350 Nuvi from PC World a few weeks ago for £150. It is excellent and has USA and Europe maps on it.

Tom Tom is the way forward for all.
I have a TOMTOM ONE and have just finished downloading the South East USA map, I am now in the process of bookmarking lots of useful sites, shopping etc.

We've just bought a Tom Tom Go 920, and it's fantastic, it comes with maps for all western Europe and North Amaerica. I was tempted to get the new 930, but on comparison there was very little extra for the hefty price tag (£400). It's already earning it's keep, it's shown a shorter and quicker route for my fiancee to get to work, so within the year it'll save us more money on petrol than what we paid for it. :D
I can definitely recommend it, it comes with the traffic aerial included, so you can receive updates on traffic ahead and reroute if necessary, (although this feature is apparently a bit hit & miss at the moment, it's still a good thing to have). We bought ours from handtec.com, they've got quite a few deals available.

I've been looking at buying the TomTom when we get to Florida but having checked the Walmart site there seems to be very little actually in store (plenty online but apparently they don't take UK credt cards - even for 'ship to store'?)
Where else would/could you get one from ?

Maybe the website doesn't reflect the stock physically carried in the stores then as the site only lists 2 out of 9 TomTom models as 'in store'.
Thanks for the Best Buy suggestion - off to do some more research :D

We have Tom Tom 920 T with full North Ameriacan maps. Fantastic.
We bought it to use in US whilst on hols. Managed to get one for £300, instead of hiring on each year. Threee years and its paid for!

We used the basic TomTom and downloaded the US maps for it and its been used in Florida numerous times and its great. Got us out a few sticky situations! Had a bit of a panic when we picked up the hire car from the airport and it didnt work, but it was just taking its time picking up the satalite after being stuck on the plane for 9 hours!

So can yuou buy Tom Toms in Walmart and there'll work ok when you get home in the uk?
As i'm over here at the moment there seems to be a few at a good prices.
Thanks.
Scott.
If you want them to work straight away, you'll need to buy one with the UK maps already installed. Any of these should be fine 910, 910 & 930, otherwise you could buy one with just the US maps on and then buy and download the UK maps when you get home.
Just back from Orlando and used my one whils teher and it was great fro getting around etc. Had inserted a lot of favourites before I went out there (Publix, Wallmart, malls etc) and used it every day - even though I knew the way to some of the places.
Only one word of warning, used it to go to Universal using teh pre-loaded POI information, and ignored the road signs off I4 thinking it would find me a quicker route. Well it sent tme to the staff entrance round the back of the park ! No problem really but I would recommend you to follow the road signs rather than relying on the pre-loaded addresses.
