I have bought an O2 sim card and put it into an old O2 phone, but I cannot top it up to get it started. Everytime I try to phone up the call fails. On the screen it says 'no service'. I have tried DD sim card in the phone and it works fine, so it can't be the phone thats at fault. DH wanted to take it with him tomorrow as he is going away for a few days, so has anyone any ideas what the problem could be?

It sounds like the card has got corrupted somehow, try gently cleaning the gold contacts in case there is some corrosion on them, I get that problem on my debit card sometimes, so I quickly give it a clean which usually coaxes back to life.

I phoned O2 up and the sim card has expired:angry:. I have just took it back to the corner shop to get my money back and he wants me to go back later as I told him that I was charged £4.50 ( I know it was that as I asked beforehand) and he says they are only £2.99, so he has to check with the person who served me. I have ordered some of the free ones but they haven't arrived yet and I needed it for this morning.
