Jumper return to Florida Mall - Advise needed

A friend recently bought a jumper from Abercrombie & Fitch in the Florida Mall but when she got it home she realised that the metal tag was still attached (don't know how they got through the security monitors). She's been unable to have the tag removed here in the UK as they're a different design.

I've said I'll take it back for her next week, when we go to Florida, and have the tag removed.

This might be a rediculous question but do you think I'll be okay to take this jumper back, I'm worried about activating the alarms etc when I walk into the Mall :omg:. I have the receipt and original bag. Advice please......:confused2

I had this happen to me a few years ago, although fortunatly I was still in the Mall when I realised. I just stood at the entrance to the shop and flagged down a sales assistant - or if there are 2 of you, I'd send in DH to find someone.

My friend once brought home a disney cap with the tag still on it, I took it back about 6 months later with the reciept, no problem at all they took the tag off and didnt even look at the receipt, I was a bit worried about it before hand, but no problem.

This happened with a coat my mam bought in walmart. luckily she realised the day we were leaving for home and we were able to call in walmart en route to the airport.

I've got to do exactly the same thing for a friend's daughter who bought a T-shirt from Planet Hollywood last year with the tag still on it. She has asked me to take it back this year. Makes you wonder about the shop's security systems.

I set Tesco's alarm off even if I haven't got anything tagged.
