What do people think of this ride?
As I remember the last time I went it was The Alien Encounter and it scared the pants off me!!
Is it fun and scary or just fun now??

might be scary for younger children. Not a lot has changed really from the Alien encounter just the charecter so a lot less scary!

From what others have said it's nowhere near as good as Alien Encounter was. I've not been since it became Stitch, but I'm going to keep an open mind about it, I'm usually the type of person that can see good about most things, so in a way I'm quite looking forward to it, it's another new experience for us at least.

It's great for kids but it's nowhere near as scary as it used to be. I still enjoy it though.

It's not scary and for those who were fans of AE then it isn't much fun either! We did it once but wouldn't do it again :)

Is it similar to AE then? Have done AE but not the Stitch one

I can't stand it personally but I absolutely hated AE and so going on Stitch just reminds me of AE which I really hated!

It is exactly the same as AE its just its Stitch in the tube instead of the scary alien and different things happen to you in the chairs.

We loved AE but the kids would never have liked it.

We tried Stitch last year and still find it unsuitable for kids, too dark and scary and nothing "fluffy" about it at all. So many young ones screaming and crying throughout the show was a real shame for the parents involved.

good job we didn't take our dd on then, she'd have hated that. Will try it myself though when we go next year.

Took our children on a couple of years ago and my DH hated it, he didn't like it because it does get very dark and he said he felt clostrophobic. Havn't done it since :o:

it was rubbish to be honest. Not a gd ride!

It's total rubbish IMHO - may be scary for very young ones just because of the dark and loud noises. Not funny either.
I sat there totally bemused, not having any idea of any 'story' - just a lot of thuds and noises, puffs of air from the seat and thinking " and the point of this is?"

Scary for younger children. Actually if you lean forward a bit you dont get the "blow in your hair" stuff.

Did AE just before it closed, I was bored stiff. I have no fear of dark or the unkown so it did nothing for me.
Do stitch every visit, we love Stitch, DS's Fave Character. Even though he is almost 14 we still have to go in and see Stitch at least once each time we go in MK.

When the harness drops Sit up straight and put your shoulders very high, then when its locked relax, I usually have around 10-12" gap, nowhere near me.
Unless you want the full effect of Stitch going bouncy bouncy on you then you need them to be just above your shoulders.

I thought it was scary when it was AE. But I am one of those who'd be said to be of a nervous disposition!!!!!! Can't wait to go in again and see Stitch

We are a family of 5 and none of us like this ride. My son slumped down in his chair whilst it was adjusting and then could not sit up again - we laughed at that more than the ride!!!

I agree with you .. too scary for little uns but totally boring for anyone else

I try and see good in all too but Stitch is awful :nonono:

IMO AE was excellent but they placed it in the wrong park to be loved. It would have been better in the Studios imo

If you enjoyed Alien Encounter then you'd think this is a very watered down version of it. The problem is that to me when I went on AE the show was a totally new concept and I loved it. I'm not sure if it's because the show isn't as good with Stitch or if it's because I now know what to expect that I just don't think it's as good.

If you never went on AE or were too scared by AE then it's worth doing unless you (or your kids) are scared of the dark or enclosed spaces.

I do it pretty much everytime I go because it's usually a walk-on and nearly always end up boring the people I'm with how it's not as good as it was when it was Alien Encounter.

Considering the whole show system was designed for AE, Disney have done a decent enough job of coming up with something a bit more family friendly to use on the same system.

As with all rides, it's definately worth doing at least once.

I really didn't like AE, I didn't like the feeling of being enclosed in the dark in those seats. I haven't tried it since it became Stitch, and I don't think I will be doing.

Horrible ride (and I love stitch), and I'm gutted I never got to try it when it was Alien Encounter. If you've never done it I guess it's worth doing once, but not if it has a long queue.

Also the shoulder harness really hurt me the first time I rode this, as it stopped later than it should meaning I had to sit in a slouched position for the ride. The second time I stopped it with my hands before it got too low.

Really wouldn't recommend this ride. You sit there thinking, ok it's going to start now, but unfortunately it never does. Personally, I feel your time would be better spent on another ride!

Thought this was boring now, even my 6 year old Stitch fan disliked it, nothing really happens, preferred it when it was the Alien version.
