The one's that really set me off are Primeval Whirl (or, as i like to call it, Primeval Hurl :erm:) and the Mad Hater Teacups! The original version of Mission Space is definately a no-no, but the tamer non-spinning version is ok! Star Tours only ever affects me if i'm sitting in the back row and Soarin' makes me feel lightheaded if i'm on the very top row!
Also anything that goes backwards, like Everest and The Mummy, tends to make me feel a bit sick!

DH doesnt do rides for this reason and one year i begged him to do mad hatters teacups. He was ill for at least an hour after and didnt feel right for hours.

Yeah the one that always gets me is Star Tours, any simulator ride really. Although i seem to be fine on the full mission space ride for some reason!!

I think Mission: Space is about as bad as it gets, but I still didn't have an issue with it.

I understand people do have problems with the spinny rides, as above, like the teacups and Primevil Whirl. There's a similar ride in IoA next to Hulk too.

Teacups and Nick's Nicktoon Blast (or something like that) in Universal, both me and my husband were so ill from riding that this year that we had to go back to the hotel and didnt visit IOA!

For me it is the Teacups in MK and Tower of Terror at MGM. We done the non spinnng version of Mission Space at Epcot and was absolutly fine. Hope this helps.

the bit in Spiderman when you are "falling" down between the buildings gets me-have to close my eyes now at that part but LOVE this ride

Worst for me is Mad Hatters Teacups. Also Star Tours, the now-defunct Back to the Future, Jimmy Neutron and Wild Arctic. I haven't done the intense side of Mission Space. Rather bizarrely, Primeval Whirl doesn't bother me at all.

The teacups, Jimmy Neutron and sometimes Spiderman make me feel sooo sick and dizzy. Oh yes and One fish two fish at IOA (yes really )

To me that is the best part of any ride that I have ever been on. Absolutely stunning.

DH suffers this and found that Star Tours, BTF & Wild Arctic were
the worst ones. He was fine on Spiderman and Soarin though :thumbs-up

I felt a bit "funny" after EE ( wasn't much for the backwards bit) and the worst one was Wid arctic at seaworld, have they made it rougher? I don't remember being flung about so much on it before! The Simpsons made my stomach turn a couple of times but I just closed my eyes.
I never do anything "spinny" but I loved Mission space, preferred the tame version though.

I can't do Star Tours, Wild Arctic or the full monty Mission Space. And I think the Simpsons ride is likely to be the same :(

Don't mind Spiderman or EE though and love Sheikra

I have been on the original Mission Space ride, Star Tours and Soarin (loads of times) and they were all great but never again to the Teacups at MK. I really thought I was going to be sick right inside the Teacup (thankfully I wasn't) and when I got off I couldn't walk straight, felt ill for ages afterwards

The only two that affect me are Star Tours and Wild Arctic :confused2 Both made me feel really queasy. I only managed to ride the now departed Body Wars once as well. I felt so sick on there :nonono:

The only one that makes me feel really sick is the Mad Hatters Tea Cups!:erm: I hate that sort of spinning.

But I am fine on Primeval Whirl and any of the others. Although I have avoided the extreme Mission Space but the tame one is fine for me.

I go on all the big coasters and was fine, however, the teacups at MK and wild artic at seaworld made me feel a bit sicky!

Wild Arctic at Seaworld, Star Tours and Mission Space are probably the worst! DW hates motion 'stimulators' as she calls them, the rest of us do try them at least once though.

For me the simulator rides are the worst - I think that it's the fact that they are enclosed that makes them worse. Star Tours and Back to the Furture (RIP) are the only ones that I refuse to go on (to be honest you're not missing much).

I remember going on Body Wars the very first time we went, that was probably the worst, we all felt ill after that! :confused2

I get car sickness terrible if I am in the back and don't watch through the windscreen where we are going :(

I am fine on everything apart from Teacups (but you don't have to spin them so fast) and Storm Force Acceletron (next to the Hulk in IOA)

Primieval whirl is not too bad, but was pretty bad for some of my family members when the car got stuck in spin mode :omg: spun all the way around and it was even still spinning when it came into the station :d::d: I can laugh cos I was in a different car LOL

I am absolutley fine on simulators though including mission space

Star tours made me feel sick. I did not go on mission space as I heard to aviod this. All other rides were fine.

star tours definatly, the first time i went on it it was fine but every subsequent time i have felt to ill it's untrue. Saying that tho the first time was wdw and the other times were dlp so i don't know if that could be the difference.

Avoided mission space because of the motion sickness warning, but would like to try the tame version when we go next year.

also not wdw but crush's coaster at dlp was a hurl inducing ride too

Primeval Whirl and Rock'n'Rollercoaster for me. I was fine on the original Mission Space though.

Mission: Space is FINE as long as you keep your head back and stay looking ahead at the screen at all times and not gawping at your family members and/or friends whilst your on it!

I think the key here is to understand what sort of motion sickness you suffer from - yes there are different types.

My youngest (15) has always suffered from motion sickness induced by phyical motion, but for some reason doesn't have problems with spinning rides. However, my eldest (28) has developed motion sickness triggered by visual movement after a very serious bout of labrynthitis 4 years ago, she can still do the big 'coasters' but simulator rides are a big no no for her now. So for us understanding the ride movement and what is any visual elements are is vital to prevent potential 'hurling'. Boots travel sickness tablets and Stemitil are our friends!

Star Tours and Back to the Future - which has been replaced by The Simpsons....they really made me feel bad. Jimmy Neutron made me feel a bit queazy, but nothing like the other two.

Anyone know if the Simpsons is as bad as BTTF?

Mission Space Orange. The great thing is the less intense ride is great and does not get you sick.

Primeval whirl for me too, its awful, like the old waltzer

Just come back- in the past I'd avouid Body Wars like plague (but then don't like blood!), only thing which made me feel a bit ill this time was the mummy, no idea why it affected me as normallyI'm fine, although I tend to avoid coasters which go upside down (Mummy doesn't, why I tried it!)
I loved Everest though, and Simpsons is quite rough but still better that BTTF!!

The baby teacup ride on Brighton Pier.

Never had motion sickness at all on any attraction in Florida. However, I'm finding that as I get older things are beginning to affect me that never did before - sitting in the back seat of the car I've had a couple of nasty moments.

May just avoid the MK teacups in future to be on the safe side.:confused2

For me it's mission space - felt totally spaced out after it, not just sick, but very very odd. Can't do star tours, or the hellicopter tour to the arctic in Seaworld. (Even have to close my eyes on the static journey to the Arctic !!)

The Nemo ride in Epcot. Oh my word I felt so ill on that ride - I've had vertigo before and it frlt just like that. Horrendous :(

Funnily enough I'm absolutely fine on Mission:Space!

I don't like Star Tours but go on it because DS likes it and I'm the ony one that will do it with him. I think it makes me feel ill-ish because there's not head support.

I suffer motion sicknes and I find the worse rides are the simulators - Wild Arctic, Star Tours etc. Back to the Future (all gone) also made me feel ill.

Can you explain what you felt like when you experienced vertigo?

I get very light headed and feel really week if I am on the edge of a drop or suspended (like a cable car). On soarin I became very unwell and wondered if this was vertigo.
