Has anyone does this who can tell me what its like?
We have visited DC 4 times now within the past year, and are thinking of trying this for something different for our next trip.....it sounds amazing on the website but dont want to have to spend the "whole day" with a trainer, do you still get some time out to relax with your family?

I sent DC an email asking the exact same question and got this reply....
Thank you for contacting Discovery Cove so we may assist as you plan your adventure!
The Trainer for a Day program begins as early as 8:00 am and ends sometime around 4:00 pm. As you know, it takes you behind the scenes and provides you with a hands-on experience with many of the animals here at our park. During your program, you have time to roam on your own, as well as when the experience ends, for our park remains open until 5:30 pm.
You have plenty of time to enjoy all our activities, not just with your trainer, but also on your own.
I hope this information has been helpful. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us once again.
We look forward to your visit!

I did the DC Trainer for a Day in 2003, whilst it may have changed slightly I think in essence it is the same. I went on my own but joined in a group of around 7 of us. You have a pretty jam packed day and are a few of you are allocated to one trainer who makes sure that you experience all sorts of things such as feeding the birds in the aviary, feeding the sharks, the ray pool, helping clean out the clown fish and most of all going behind the scenes with the dolphins. Personally if my family were in the park I would have struggled to get to have any time with them apart from lunch. All said though anyone that has a real passion for the park I would totally recommend it to as to see 'behind the scenes' was a real bonus and you really get to understand the passion that the trainers and everyone at the park has. I had been twice before and I throughly enjoyed it, if I had more time and money I would do it again on our upcoming trip in Sept.
hope that helps.

Thank you, I LOVE DC, so am really thinking about doing another side of it, and my husband and me would be doing it together so at least we would be spending the day together still :) xx
