Hi Everyone!
So glad I found this site as all the info you have posted is really useful. My sisters and I are heading out to Orlando for the first time next month. SOOOOO excited!
Just have a few wee questions maybe someone could help with?
1 - We have booked the dolphin swim at DC for my sis bday, (its a surprise)! However, I'm not sure how to go about using the tickets as we are not planning on going to DC until the second week of our holiday. Can we visit Seaworld the first week? We don't have actual tickets, just a confirmation number.
2 - We had booked to stay at the Best Western Plaza on I-drive (now Econo lodge Inn and Suites). Has anyone stayed here recently? I'm a bit worried as I've been reading the reviews and they aren't great. Although have been told that it has just been renovated and wondered if it has improved any.
3 - Are the published park times the times which anyone can stay in the park to? For example, if a park is open to 10pm and has extra evening hours, can everyone stay until 10pm or do none disney guests have to leave at 9pm?
Sorry for all the questions at once but thanks in advance for any help!!
Deb

Hiya :wavey:
Not sure about the DC question, i've never done it
No idea about the hotel, never stayed in it
Evening Extra Magic Hours start after the official closing time, off-site visitors will have to leave after 10pm then on-site visitors can stay for up to 3 hours more.

Just to clarify, offsite guests don't have to leave the park, they just can't go on any rides/attractions. You can still use the restaurants/shops and wander round if you so wish.

Fine, Offsite guests can hang around watching everyone else enjoy themselves knowing full well they can't get on any rides and may just aswell leave the park 'cos the kids are screaming Peter Pan is a walk on so why can't they ride!
That better? :D

If you've been reading reviews on Tripadvisor, it may be worth taking them with a pinch of salt. We read reviews of the Royal Plaza in Lake Buena Vista and someone complained there weren't enough tissues in the tissue box in the bathroom! there were also the normal 'the carpets were dirty, the room smelt' grumbles but we found the hotel just perfect along with many other dibbers on here. :thumbs-up
My benchmark for judging Tripadvisor is if I read there post and think I'd go on holiday with them... if not, I dismiss it! :D
Regarding DC,you can visit SeaWorld prior to DC.All you need to do is to take your confirmation to guest relations at SeaWorld and they will sort you out.Have a wonderful trip.

We will be in the same boat as you regarding DC, I'm not 100%
sure but I think when you visit Seaworld you go to customer
service/guest relations and they sort it out for you.

Hey, I found this on the Discovery cove website, hope it helps.
Your personalized ID card will serve as your ticket if you decide to visit SW or BG, after your reservation date. However, if you plan on visiting the park(s) of your choice prior to your Discovery Cove adventure, simply present your confirmation letter at their Guest Relations window located at the front gate.

Welcome to the Dibb and please dont stress too much. I did after reading reviews and they were totally unfounded and if the worst does come to the worst and you dont like your hotel you are hardly there (well we werent) and nothing can change the magic of disney

As I haven't been to Florida for 15 years, I can't answer your questions, but lots of people on here will be able to.

You can visit Seaworld for a week before, a week after or wrapped round your visit. Just take your comfirmation stuff to Seaworld, there is a door on the left hand side where you go in and get your Seaworld ticket. We did this back in 2005, going to DC in our 3rd week, and Seaworld in our 2nd week.
