When does Christmas start?

Hi all,

I was just wondering when the Christmas decs go up and when the characters start wearing their christmas outfits?

We leave on the 9th November, which is the day before the first MVMCP, so could we be lucky and be able to get some christmassy photos. I'm mainly thinking for a cheesy family Christmas card with a photpass shot of Lauren & I on the front. :pgig:

We left on Nov 8th last year and although the decs were up in some parks - Epcot was pretty much finished, so was MGM, Mk hadnt gotten any up.

I dont think they really start Christmas "properly" till after Thanksgiving (with the exception of the MVMCP) and I think you might struggle to find Christmas characters that early. I could be wrong but I think thats the case.

You can always ask at Guest Services as they have a list of characters and where they will be so I guess they might know if they are in Xmas attire or not!!

I saw then on the 10th or 13th Nov last year? Not 100% sure on the date, but hope it is the day after halloween as we may get to see them again next year before we go home.

Yeah the Epcot tree is stunning and that was one of the first things up - Nov 1st!! That would make a great pic!

it was 12th november last year. We arrived on the 17th and everything was in full swing. I doubt you would catch much on the 8th.

In 2006 we went on Nov 10th and MVMCP had started and we were also there when Osborne lights started in MGM, I think that was the 13th. All the decorations were up everywhere.
It always seems odd to me.....sunshine and Christmas, it just doesn't go together!

Hi not sure about the parks but i know the shops have their decoraions out as an employee in Walmart told us that as soon as Halloween is over the xmas stuff comes straight out on the shelves
