Anyone stayed here before?

We have booked up for sept 08

I read alot of reviews on this hotel and all have been good.

Doing alot of research i found that for value for money this hotel came top for me (alot of the Disney hotels are alot more expensive)

Me and DD stayed there for 4 nights last September. Gotta say, it was one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in.....in fact, probably THE best

The beds are outta this world comfortable, everywhere was clean, coffeemaker and hairdryer in the rooms, free breakfast.....muffins, bagels, cereal, that kinda thing, and a couple of hot items which changed daily. Free tea, coffee and hot choc at reception and on a couple of the floors beside the lifts. The pool is a bit small, but never crowded, so DD loved it. We used the laundry too and were the only ones there. There is also free internet in the lobby just next to the breakfast tables.
Location wise, its back to back with Bahama Breeze and TGIs. Theres also a Dominos pizza, Subway and Walgreens there too. We walked to Pointe Orlando....a 5 minute walk.
It was great for the I-Ride too, coz at one side you have the green line and behind you, the red line, so no shortage of trolleys :)

Anything else you want to know, just ask :) For £25 a night, you really cant go wrong!!

sounds great

I was looking at the surounding shops and restaurants and its in a really good location.

I paid 400 euro about 320 pounds for 10 nights thats not a bad deal i think.

forgot to mention also

Does this hotel offer any transfers for Orlando airport and the Disney parks. I am not renting a car.

Ahhh......and there lies this hotels only downside!! I think they could arrange WDW transfers, but for a fee......a big fee :omg:

However, it really is no problem, as i said you have your choice of Green and Red trolleys, both go to Seaworld. Just get off at the stop outside SW and transfer onto a Lynx 50 (at the stop across from where you got off ;)), and you will be at the T&TC in about 20 minutes :)
We took a taxi when we moved from HI to Pop Century, and if memory serves right it cost about $35.

Yeah i thought this was the only thing they didnt offer maybe it being aimed at business customers they dont go for the whole attractions idea.

What i pay out on transfers i prob still be saving if i had booked a disney hotel. we only want to go to disney twice (MK & MGM) so maybe Mears or a taxi (heard they charge extra if they drop you after the toll in the disney parks?)

whats my best option do you think?

Cheapest option, obviously the Lynx bus.

Best option i think would be a Mears shuttle.......around $15 return per person. They will pick ya up at the hotel, then drop you back at a pre-arranged time. Check the mears website for better info though ;)

:tiggerbou:cool2::tiggerbou:cool2::tiggerbou:We stayed in October 2006 and we couldnt fault the hotel, clean, quiet, comfy beds and very helpful staff. Brill location just off IDrive Free breakfast as well. You will have a brill time.

I was going to book this for my next trip. We are only doing 2 nights in Orlando but we decided to book the Homeswood suites because wanted a bit more space with 3 girls, its next door to the Hampton Inn and we wanted the same area.

I stayed at the hampton inn September 2007, it was a fantastic place with free breakfast and drinks free all day too, you could get travel to the parks but they did charge, we had a car so it was not an issue about getting about, we did use the i trolley however, very easy to go to sea world and wet and wild. this hotel is the center for everything, go through the car park (about five mins) and you are on Internatinal Drive with all your restaurants, golf and a short walk the upside down house and Pointe Orlando with all the shops and a cinema. The rooms were spacious, television and room and towels cleaned daily, you can even book this hotel on the internet saving you pounds by not choosing travel agents. Once you have been you will want to go back again:wave: :wavey:

We found this hotel had brilliant reviews too and we were going to stay here but because there are no shuttles we have decided on the hampton inn south of universal instead. I know you can get the iride/lynx buses but last time we went, the shuttles were so useful (& free!) so we wanted that again. Hamtpon south of universal offers everything the same as convention centre one, so it's worth considering!!!
