Idea: Change of plans, DIY?

Hi, in regards to another thread about the Metropolitan Express on #i-Drive....

We had planned to fly with Virgin, stay at the Wyndham for 10 nights, 4 nights at CBR then 3 nights at SK, fly back with Virgin, transfers included as we aren't driving.

If we were to go DIY, how would it work?
How do you get to the hotels from the airport?
What happens if your flight is delayed?

A website I'm looking at now seems really cheap for the Metropolitan which is good, but never booked a holiday before which is why we were going to get a package deal. Argh, so confusing!

If you're going DIY - probably best to get your flights booked first and then get your hotels booked to match.

Your options to get to the hotel are:

Taxi, off the rank at the airport.
Mears. (http://www.mearstransportation.com/)
A car service, like Quicksilver (http://www.quicksilver-tours.com/)

If your flight is delayed, they'll just take you when you get there!

I've used Quicksilver and it worked well.
