Were hoping to book our hotels tomorrow and other things for this October, 2-23rd, were going for 3 weeks.

This is what I've found
1 week LBV resort village & spa £410
2 weeks POFQ (waterview room) £1400

Total £1810

I've been looking for weeks and these are the best prices I've found, last time we went we paid £995 for 3 week in kissimmee hotel only, these are better places so they will be more expensive.

Please reassure me this is good, I'm a worrier and I'd like some dibbers to make me feel better. We definatly want to stay there, I just want someone to say thats what we payed when we stayed at disney, LBV, I know I'm being silly, thats just me.

Thank you from a worried dibber. I'll be fine once there booked.

I'm no expert but that sounds an amazing price for 3 weeks. How many of you are going? I paid £1000 more than that for only 16 nights (3 of us). I wish I'd found the Dibb before I'd booked!

Oops, ignore my previous post - I thought that included flights & car hire. No wonder it sounded so amazing! Can't help with the price of hotels sorry, I booked a package deal but I'm sure someone on here will be along to give advice soon

do you really need a water view room? thats the only thing i would ask. you dont have a balcony, and will you really spend enough time at the hotel to enjoy the view??? might save you a couple of pounds!!!

that seems a lot for POFQ, about twice what we paid when we stayed there, but it was 3 years ago and November so possibly a cheaper season.

At those prices, I think I'd do 2 weeks at LBV Resort and 1 week onsite.

Personally I wouldn't pay for the waterview at this hotel, I think the courtyard view is gorgeous and the rooms by the water will be the furthest away from anywhere.

Do you think so? We first stayed onsite at POFQ last year when we were amazed to find it worked out near as dammit the same as Royal Plaza. OK, Royal Plaza has crept up over the years, and you have to pay a resort fee and fridge hire if staying there, but POFQ *seemed* cheaper than when we'd looked in the past.

Around £100/nt is there or thereabouts. Extra adults (or 18yr+ kids) in the room bumps the price up. Sometimes it's on Expedia with every 6th night free for some dates. We just paid £101/nt for 9 nights end Apr/early May for 3 adults in a WV room. We booked directly with Disney UK.

You didnt say how many are in your family.

If you want to save a few coins, a 2-bedroom at Cypress Pointe (either Resort or Grandvillas) goes for £265 a week. Its in LBV very close to Disney. Many restaurants within walking distance.

For us I would do as BevS97 and stay fewer days in POFQ. All of us in one room for 2 weeks would drive me nuts. Plus we'd need a w/d towards the end of a 3 week stay.

Thank you anyway.

I don't surpose we really need a water view room, we just had one last time. Thank you.

Thank you for your help, if we had a standard could we be looking over the carpark. Last time we had a water view room and were in building 5, we loved it there.

Thank you for your help. There are 3 adults, I'll have alook at Cypress Pointe, I just can't really work out how far it is from disney, I'll have to see if I can do a map on google, Bev did me one ages ago and it really helped, for something different.

It doesn't bother us all in one room we ve always done that, apart from our honeymoon of course, its me, dh and my dm.

More to think about and talk about, before we do anything.

Thank you everyone.

Disney price looks about £200 too much.

Disney uk price is £1288 whilst Attraction tickets direct is £1232.

Try TCD as they do accomodation only and are usually cheaper than ATD.

Also once you have a price quote try Specialist Disney agents as they may undercut even these prices as happenned with myself with Christmas.

Have you thought about buying a Disney Annual Pass as they sometimes have discounts for rooms.

Contact Val (Cinders Mum) as she is an expert about booking Disney rooms the cheapest way. She got me a fantastic deal on the Polynesian a few years ago - much much cheaper than anywhere else. She will advise you if buying an AP is worth it for the dates you are looking at.

Val would be a good person to contact and is very helpful.

Also consider looking at aaa.com site as you can get a discount with aa membership.

Another option is http://www.regalsunresort.com/ Just spent $25million on a refurb
Hotelopia.co.uk £950 for 3 weeks use code 170470 brings it down to £855.
Book it thru Quidco.com for another 10% cashback, total cost £769.50
Unfortuntely there is a $10/night resort fee (£106) but still a good price for this hotel, its £1,472 direct for cheapest room.

You can book Cypress Pointe resort same way, 1 bed £624 for 3 weeks or 2 bed £713.

More on there at good prices with the double discount.

I have POR booked for 3 nights end August this way for £70/night

I also wouldn't bother with a water view room, we got building 5 last time too but hadn't paid for waterview, we went in August so it was in the season, we did however email them a week or so before and ask for building 5 so that may be worth doing. I don't think there are that many car park views at POFQ so you'd have to be pretty unlucky to get one....I too would be disappointed with one of those!

Don't know if it's any cheaper than where you have looked but the US expedia site has POFQ for the equivalent of £75 a night for August should be cheaper for Oct!

Cypress Pointe is very close to Disney, maybe 5 minutes drive from the Downtown Disney entrance, I would say it's closer than Lake Buena Vista.

If you request Building 2, 5 or 6 they dont have any carpark views and in fact of the other 4 buildings, only a very few would have a full carpark view, building 4 has a courtyard between it and the carpark

Have a look here (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=port+orleans+resort,+orlando,+fl&ie=UTF8&ll=28.381018,-81.536129&spn=0.004427,0.007296&t=h&z=17) and you can see how green it is all around the edge.

Thank you everyone for your help.

We 've had a chat done some more working out and booked, we liked the look of cypress point but all had our hearts set on LBV resort village and spa, so were having the first week there and then we going to POFQ for the second two weeks.

So excited.
Thanks again.
