Getting close to our DD dance and i am now starting to worry. We have always either stayed on I drive or in Disney itself. Can anyone please tell me how easy it is to get around from here.I know we are not far from Champoins Gate but hate the thought of getting lost ,even after all these years lol:o:

It's sooo easy from Champions Gate Linda just hop straight on the I4 and it's dead simple everything is sign posted.

I recommend Steve Munns Map www.orlandomaps.com

We stayed in Windwood bay last year and are going back to the same villa this year. One of the reasons for going back, is that we found the location far better than the previous areas we stayed in (off hwy 27).
When you drive out of Windwood, turn right to get to the Champions Gate area - a two minute drive - and from there you can go onto the I4.
However, if you drive out of Windwood and turn left - within a couple of minutes you reach the junction of Old lake Wilson Road - turn up here and you will reach the 192 within 5 minutes. From this junction you can turn left then almost immediately right up sherberth road, or turn right and within a couple of minutes you hit World Drive. We found this so much easier and faster than fighting through the traffic on the 192 on the way to disney!
Also, at Champions Gate there is A Publix supermarket, a Subway, a McDonalds, a pizza place + a few other shops - easy to do any shopping on the way to/from the villa!!!!

There is also a new Publix opening at the junction of Lake Wilson Road and the county line in July:d: in the retail shopping area known as Ovation!!
Very handy, if going to or from Disney!!

Hiya :wavey: Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Great option about Old lake Wilson Road but I'd recommend joining the I4 at junction 58 rather than junction 55. Bascically as you say right out of WW Bay onto Ronald Reagan Parkway until you come to a big hotel called the Omni and turn right which takes you through Champions Gate and as you exit through the Arches it's junction 58 so 3 miles up from junction 55.

We have stayed in the Champions Gate area 3 times. Even though it looks a bit out of the way on a map, I found the location superb for getting around the Kissimmee areas. Like said, better than the 27 as you have more options of backroads and once you get familiar with these roads it really does make a big difference.
