Hi, we really struggle to get shoes in the UK for our DS due to his exceptionally wide feet! He has shoes made for him via a podiatrist, but they are mega expensive and not particularly trendy! We are even struggling to get any supplies through New Balance - our usual last resort in the UK for very wide trainers. Is anyone able to suggest any specialist shops in Orlando where we might be able to stock up on some extra wide trainers? Thanks!

Hi !
I do have short wide slabs of meat attached to my legs !
I found Walmart (believe it or not !) had some own brand trainers in both white and black that fitted !
I have worn these items to death (Have a pair on now) and intend to have a hunt when i return this year
Hope this helps

Thanks very much for your quick response! Walmart sounds like it stocks just about everything anyone could ever want, can't wait to shop there! We might need to buy an extra suitcase to transport everything home!

Have you tried M&S in the uk, they do some of their shoes in extra wide fitting.

:wavey:Hi, I purchased two pairs of the black trainers from Wal-Mart in the wide fit for my brother (who has extra large feet) during our April visit. As they were only $10 per pair decided I would be generous and get him two pairs.
A number of the shoe outlets at Buena Vista retail outlets also so wide and extra wide fittings.

I got extra wide trainers at the Rebock shop at LBVa Actually I stocked up and got 3 pairs for the price of 2 pairs and then and extra 15% off with a coupon.

I got wide fit Nike trainers 2 years ago but can't remember which outlet mall sorry!
I spent my formative years working in a sports shop, specialising in running kit.
As you obviously already know, Newbies are the best trainer out there with regard to supply of width fittings. NBs are widely available in Orlando so hopefully you should be able to stock up whilst there.

the sketchers outlets have a good range of wide sized training shoes etc, I got a pair last year for my wide feet but they are actually a tad too wide now, still wear them though

Hi
I have only looked for female extra wide fitting and found the US cater far better than the UK, I managed to buy both trainers & golf shoes in extra wide fittings & as someone has already mentioned Sketchers are good to I also brought some ECCO shoes too.
Hope you can find what you are looking for.

Like everyone else has said, I think you'll be able to find shoes without a great deal of trouble. If you see a trainer you like ask if it is available in "W" (wide) as well as the standard. Having lived in London for 3 years I did find that the cut of shoe was a good bit more narrow so it is possible that the standard size might do but you could try both.
For those with the opposite problem a lot of (especially in ladies) places will offer "N" (narrow) as well. The 'help yourself' type of places like Payless, Rack Room Shoes, etc. will have both of these options and the letter often appears in a circle on the box or it will be a big capital letter next to the size.
