Hello, not really used to this holiday thing. We are going on 23rd April next year and I was just wondering when should I start buying my holiday clothes? Do shops sell them in March or should I get things now while shops are selling stuff?

Personally I would wait till the big summer sales and see if I can get some bargains to put away. I would then do the other stuff in March/April next year. They usually get the summer stuff in well in advance. And don't forget the other option....buy loads over there!

Definitely wait for the sales - just don't put on or lose weight before your holidays!!!!:wavey:

Hi Jo,

We are going in March next year and I was unsure what to do. I have decided though, to make a list and buy about half the clothes this year and half next year. I am going to wait for next sale in July and get most of the kids shorts and T shirts then. Going to get the sun cream this year because the supermarkets have some good deals at the moment.

Hi Jo

My biggest piece of advice, is don't buy too much...... because if you enjoy shopping, you'll definitely buy more when you're out there!!:pgig:

Also, if you have access to a washing machine, you can do a wash whilst you're there.

With regards to buying clothes here, if you see something you like now, get it, or wait until the sales in autumn!

Hope that helps a little, Jo??

Happy Shopping:wavey:

Thanks everyone  Waiting sounds like a plan. I am going to be good and not take too much stuff. We are going for 17 nights so I'll take a week's worth of stuff and just wash it - should leave enough space for all the things I want to buy.

Will make a few trips to Primark. Got a vest top there last year for £1 and I love it :)

Thanks :D

Our advice is to pack light and buy loads, all very good value out there at the moment and I am sure it will be when you go too. We have just come back and are a family of 4. We packed 2 cases, although not full and took a 3rd with a large wheeled bag inside it. Bought loads of little strappy tops from Abercrombie, Hollister and American Eagle- fab. So cheap there. My son stocked up on Timberland tshirts - 2 for £15!! Don't even buy too many creams before you go either. Walmart great for that when you are up mega early on the first day. We got through at least 10 spray cans of sunspray as it is so easy to spray on - 2 for $12 at Wallmart thats just over £6. Anyway enjoy!!!!!

buy them when you get there.
