Evening everyone i was just wondering about the cost of electrical goods in the malls i.e laptops,ipods etc any good deals to be had?Also do they all work back in the UK? Any info would be great where to buy from etc thanks.

They are generally cheaper, but most electrical goods work on 110V so unless you want to go down the route of buying a 110/240V transformer they will not work in the UK. Other goods like laptops may have chargers that work on 110 - 240V supply so will be OK in the UK. There are simple ways of using Xmas lights, etc in the UK without a transformer, but it is not recommended unless you are competent in understanding how to wire them up.

I had an US laptop for a few years it was fine as they are designed for travel use!

iPods and other apple gear is fine, ipods generally don't come with mains chargers anymore and require charging through a computer USB port. As for other computer hardware components will definitely be fine, even power supplies all you'll have to do is make sure it has a power transformer switch on the back to change between 110 and 240v. Also laptops generally are geared for travel as has already been said so most of the time either a replacement charger or different plug adapter is all thats required.
