A brillient Carribean style restaurant, my fav on IDrive, music on the terrace, cocktails, fab nibbly food and inside a full menu. Try a Long Island Iced Tea and their Key Lime Pie is to die for.
They have a website.
I got a hot chocolate there last year and they let me keep a fabulous Bahama Breeze mug, I use it at the office.
This is a restaurant.
A very good one too, situated on I Drive. This is the one we have visited on our last 2 trips.
I do believe there are others at different locations, eg. Lake BV, Kissimee.
Website address is www.bahamabreeze.com I think this is it

That definitely sounds my sort of thing. Must say we usually steer clear of IDrive because most of the time when we go to Prime Outlets or Festival Bay, we get stuck in horrendous traffic coming home - well back to All Star I should say! Could be a good place to stop off after shopping and let the traffic subside?
Is it suitable for kids age 13.5 and nearly 16? :wavey:

Do you have to prebook or just turn up?

Yes it is, you don't have to use Idrive you can use the Universal road that runs past the back of Wet n Wild all the way to the back of the cinema at The Pointe, if tou look you can drive through the car lots straight to all the restaurants at that end of idrive. That road eventually leads to The Convention Centre between the point and The Peabody.
you might also like Cafe Tu Tu Tango which is a latin arty restaurant with stuff going on all over the place dancers painters etc.
Also the cray pirate golf is good just up from both these places, accross the road is The Olive Garden for people who like italian that ones mega popular though and you will wait a while for a table.

Luckily enough, DH doesn't drink and does the driving on holidays ( I book, plan and worry about everything - works well!!) so I shall probably have to sample a cocktail or too!!!

Saw the "call ahead" bit on the wesite - looks like it will be wort doing - Thank you very much:wavey:
just got back and ate here a couple of times. great food and service. I highly recommend the cuban bread and the chips and dip starters. they are both big enough to share.
personally i wouldnt call ahead. the first time went we were seated straight away and we had an hour wait on friday for a table but this was just a great excuse for sampling a few cocktails. ;) The outside terrace with live music is superb. try the Amaretto sour too very nice.

One of our favourites, we didn't make a booking on either of the 2 occassions we went. They give you a buzzer so you can go and sit outside, listen to the band and have a drink. If the wait is going to be long (they will advise when they give the buzzer to you) you can have your starters outside if you wish.
Even though we have DDP this year we are still planning on going back there for an evening meal. :tounge:
Our favourite restaurant, it is fabulous there. I`ve done a review on it on here. It`s on the left under dining and reviews. :-)

I love it too. Just a word of caution those cocktails that you drink whilst you wait can be lethal !!!;) But it never stops me:tounge:

A fantastic place to dine, definitely our favourite. We've been 3 times, the best meal of the holiday on every trip. Try the double pork chop, absolutely fantastic, but be warned - portions are huge!!
This is our favourite restaurant by far (and DS2s choice for his birthday meal!). It's Caribbean themed, gorgeous food and one of the few places where you don't mind waiting for a table as you can enjoy a cocktail, or two! on the decking whilst listening to the kettle drums playing in the background. I can't wait :spin::spin:

We ate there last night, it was excellent, we had spent the day at Universal and were very tired but we had a great meal, we are vegetarian and the choice was not that good but I chose it because there was 1 thing at least that we could all choose, we ended up with this for $49..50
1 x flat bread with spinach and tomato
1 x spinach dip
1 x mushroom sandwich without the evil musheys
1 x mozerella bap kids meal
3 x soft drinks
3 x water
1 x mojito
1 x white wine
We met a lovely american couple in the bar with their 4 week old baby and had a very nice meal, Heather was our waitress and was great, we have a fussy 8 year old who after 11 hours of theme parks was all worn out, Heather was so nice and made sure that my daughter had a nice meal (I was very pleased to see that Joy went out of her way to say thank you on the way out -what more could a parent want hey :-))
The lady on the door was vegetarian, our waitress was vegetarian, it was a really nice experience for us and we will be going back a little earlier so that Joy can really enjoy it.
Cheers,
Jan

Can somebody tell me which is the best one - LBV or I-Drive?
I've passed this place so many time over the years and never called in. This is now a must for December.
Can somebody tell me which is the best one - LBV or I-Drive?
Both are wonderful, but we prefer the I-Drive location. :)

word of warning it is very, very, very busy. we stayed next door to it at Homewood suites tried to eat there on 3 diff' times and had to wait over an hour each time. Got that fed up of waiting walked accross the road and eat at olive gardens (think it was called that) the italian place, which is awesome by teh way.
the food looked wonderfull at Bahama but we never did get to try it out.

We ate here near the end of our holiday, and the meal was definetly the best we had, and one of the cheapest.
I had read reviews on various sites, and put it on our list, cannot wait to go in the summer.
We went about 8 pm and had a wait of about 35 mins, but you can call before you leave to go and they will put you on the list and tell you how long the wait is, then you can travel at your leisure to it, and not have a long wait, although sitting ouside listening to the music is nice and relaxing.
