Got a list of 208 things to do in 2008 from the Orlando Tourist Office. One of the things they mention is "Share a kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream" I take it that will be one of the ice creams on the menu - anyone know exaactly what it is please?:d:
It's a massive 'kitchen sink' full of ice cream, loads of toppings and sauces, brownies, cookies and a whole can of whipped cream!! It's very good and they make a really big deal about it. There was 4 of us and we couldn't even eat half it was so big!

They serve it in a "kitchen sink" literally - a metal dish that looks like a sink complete with taps. It has every ice cream they sell and every topping. it is the biggest thing I've ever seen and they bring it out to fanfares and a round of applause. it takes about 6 people to eat it and then they sometimes don't finish it!!!
Can i take it from the description of size that it wont be cheap either.

I doubt we'd finish it, but you should try everything once - right?
:wavey:
It's $21.99 so not too bad!

Yes you must, it's really good fun! The burgers are really good too.

OMG could 4 people even finish this! I bet they would struggle!
Where is the "diner" where they sell it and what is the diner called?

I believe you can just turn up and order it. It's at the Beaches & Cream diner in (I think) The Beach Club Disney hotel/resort. Anyone can wander in - not just guests. Walk there from World Showcase at Epcot.
Here's a video of one being made. We want to take the challenge but think it'll beat 4 ice-cream buffs like us.

There is 7 of us going, and we are going to try one. Still think we might struggle!

We are going in September and we are going to try one. There is only 2 of us. I wonder how much we will actually be able to manage lol :d:
Were planning on going in October, but I'm not sure now after watching that video, will they leave out things you don't like can't eat, I can't have nuts and it showed peanut butter syrup or something at the start.

Id love to try this when we go in Sept, but as we are only 2 I think it would be a bit of a waste, so think will have to leave it till next year.....

Share? I think not!
Just wander through from Epcot, I will and I will horrify the family by trying to reduce this to nothing with as little help as possible.
Mmm, ice-cream.

Wow! we'll definitely being trying one of these - I'll let you know if we manage it when we return. There's 5 of us going on 21st July and staying at the Beach Club Resort - so will be very convenient.

Just done a search for Kitchen Sink and found this thread. Suzie fancies getting one next year.
Just watched that You Tube clip of one being made.......O-M-G. that is just something else. Believe me when I say we can eat plenty but that thing looks like a real challenge.

Just back from Florida this morning. We went to Beaches and cream on the 24th June and had the kitchen sink. It was amazing but we could not finish it! It was nice getting to walk about the area the resort is situated in and we could even see the fireworks from Epcot (which is within walking distance from here).
