View Full Version : Christmas Day
Hi,
Can anyone who has been to WDW for Christmas offer me any advice?
We are looking for somewhere to book for Christmas Day dinner. We know everywhere will be crowded on Xmas Day, but wondered if there was anywhere in or around Disney that did what we would call a traditional Christmas meal (or there abouts!)
Even though going to Disney is something completely different for our family Christmas's, we dont feel right eating hotdogs etc for dinner!
Thanks for any ideas offered :D

I think you might be disappointed. We have done Xmas twice and the first time, Disney Dining told us all restaurants would be offering a"festive" choice alongside their normal menu. We went to the Cali Grill and were told in no uncertain terms there was no festive choice!!
Places like Liberty Tree Tavern and offsite, CrackerBarrell offer roast turkey but the concept of a roast spud is quite alien to the Americans - everything comes with mash!
When we went in 2006 at Xmas, we decided just to go with the flow and instead went to our favourite signature restaurant, the Yachtsmans Steakhouse and had a lovely feast of Filet Mignon, Scallops and choccie cake!
There is no doubt you can eat WELL on Christmas day, but Id forget the idea of anything that resembles a traditional British Xmas dinner. Your best bet is probably Cracker Barrell (if you can find one open on xmas day).

I think the closest place will be Liberty Tree Tavern, it's a traditional American thanks Giving meal which is about the closet to what we would say is a Christmas meal. Really nice food and a lovely atmosphere

If we were there on Christmas Day again I'd eat at 1900PF as I thought the decorations and the whole atmosphere was really festive
