Advice Chef Mickey ....

I want to book Chef Mickey for a Breakfast but could we drive to the contemporary from Saragota Springs and then go to Universal for the day...do we have to pay to park...should we do it another day so we can use the On site transport and visit a Disney park...what does anyone think ?

You could definitely go to Chef Mickeys for breakfast and then on to Universal. Chef Mickeys opens at 7am so you could book as early as you like. You do not need to pay to park at the contemporary, when you get to the MK gate just go through the line for MK resort guests.

We didn't go to a Disney park on the day we visited and were given a 3 hour parking permit at the entrance to the Contemporary Resort.

It would certainly make sense to do a Disney Park though. By the time you have had breakfast and taken pictures etc time will have got on, and with the journey to Universal, parking up, walking to the park itself, it will be later in the morning and you will probably experience some serious queues.

We loved Chef Mickeys for breakfast. Lots of character interaction and lovely food.

Why would you want to leave your car at The Contemporary and go to a Universal park? Wouldn't you need your car to get to Universal?

We've eaten at 'Ohana for breakfast then gone to Epcot but drove our car there.

You don't have to pay for parking, but looking at your dates, you may have trouble getting an ADR.

It free dining when you go and many of the popular resaurants have been booked for a couple of months.

I did all my ADR's around the middle of march (180 days out) and I had to be very flexible with my times.

You may be able to get a cancelation, so give them a ring.

I'm going the same time as you and only booked my ADR's 3 weeks ago (just couldn't get motivated this year :erm:)

I booked 10 and got all within 20 mins of the time I wanted :thumbs-up including Chef Mickeys (dinner) this is our childrens favorite place to eat :tounge:

We done Chef Mickeys on the 17th May 08. We stayed in a villa and drove there. You can get a free 3 hour pass to park at the Comtempoary as long as you have a reservation - they check your name at the gate. Our reservation was for 8.10am and were back in the car at about 9.30 heading to Hollywood Studios. Hope this helps:wave:
