Booking WDW resort hotels

Hi,

What is the cheapest method of booking a Disney Hotel? I'm assuming direct with Disney isn't the cheapest, so any tips?

Also - are the deluxe hotels really woth the extra cash? I'm considering either the Beach Club (really expensive), Wilderness Lodge (tad expensive) or the Caribbean Beach Resort (not expensive).

Any advice on what a dexule hotel actually offers would be great.

We've booked direct with Disney US for the Wilderness lodge at christmas, i suppose finding a good deal and being flexible is the cheapest but the hotels get booked up at busy periods obviously quicker. You can get discounts etc if you're with the AA but not 100% how it works.
