We're going on a Thursday and we've got both, rather be safe than sorry and I'd be gutted if we didn't get round all the houses.

Don't buy the stay and scream pass, that is only valid if you buy it with a normal day admission ticket from Universal directly. As you already have the Flex-Ticket, you will need to buy the normal HHN admission ticket, which costs $69.99. The Express Pass works the same as FOTL access, it gives you the ability to go into all the Haunted Houses with minimal queueing. I've bought the Express Pass, as many reports from last year said that the queues for the Haunted Houses were reaching 2hrs+, which means that you wouldn't be able to get into all of them in the night, which is a real shame. As you are going mid-week you may not need to get the Express Pass, but I'd sooner get it and not need it, than go and be dissapointed with all the queueing. The whole point of these events is the atmosphere in the park, and that atmosphere is lost when you are standing in the queues for hours on end and only get to experience half of the haunted attractions on offer.

i agree , only buy the express passes, we went last year and was so glad we had them the queues were horrendous, but with the passes we managed to go in the houses twice! you could always go to citywalk for a meal while you are waiting for the park to reopen?

How many times can you go in the Haunted Houses with them? I thought it was just once. Also can you not stay in the park while they get everybody else out? The last time I went they just moved everybody back towards the entrance then started letting people with passes through. It was quite a weird sight seeing so many security people move from one side of the park to the other in a sweep.

If you already have park admission and are planning to be in the park that day then you can buy the Stay & Scream tickets which will allow you to stay in the park when they close it to daytime guests. This will give you a bit of a head start on the crowds as you will be in a holding area for a while as the park is set up for HHN, you might get the chance for some rides with no lines, but will be allowed out and into the first houses before the crowds get through the gate. We managed to get around all but one of the houses, with the express passes you could easily do them all.

If you buy online the Universal site doesn't allow you to buy a Stay & Scream ticket without also buying a day ticket which is no use to AP holders or those with Flextickets, but you can buy at the gate no problem.

whoops sorry , there was 9 of us and some of us chickened out of certain houses, so their unused houses were shared out!
if you get the express passes there should be no need to stay in the park, you will definitely get in the houses , we went on the 31st october and had no problems !

Hi

I was just going to say we bought HHN tix last year as well as the Express Pass and we used it twice :(

We got there for opening and even thought it was still light we started to hit the houses to which there were no queues.

Only 2 of the houses required us to use the express Pass, Nightmare on Elm St and the Mary Shaw ( i think that was the name )

The houses had queues at over an hour long. If you were to do this at each house you would never see everything the park has to offer.

So even though we didnt use our Express Pass as much as we thought we would, i would buy it again in a heartbeat just incase !

Have a brill time
