hi i have search the site and i can't see any info on this, and i hope i have posted this in the right section
when we were in florida last time, there were a lot of stalls in the malls offereing free tickets to the parks, in return you had to listen to a presentaton on time share, i was just wondering what your views on these guys were,
i know time is very precious...but is it a waste of time or a con?
knowing our luck we'd end up buying one:confused2
You may get the tickets but also may be putting yourself under some pressure. It really does depend upon yourselves and how much hassle you want.

Never been to a timeshare presentation but from what I've heard they always try to hard sell and put you in an uncomfortable situation. It's just not worth it IMO.

I've heard that some presentations can last for 3 or 4 hours, that's way too much time out of my holiday!

thanks
i got to thinking it maybe 3-4 hours less shopping time...thus saving money. then a day in a park, saving more money again less shopping time, got 2 teenagers...love 'em but they cost a fortune:grin:
has anyone do this? and what were the benifits ...or not
'
also is there a way of thanking people on this site ie 'repping'?
i've had so much help from people on this site and would like to say 'thanks'
The 2nd time in 2003 we went we had a free day so we went along to a timeshare presentation just to get the park tickets, it was well worth the 1/2 day spent listening to the presentation.
We are a party of 5 and we saved over £500 pounds, getting free tickets to the parks.
If you have time to go just stand your ground and say NO to what they offer, it is all very tempting though.
Find out what tickets are on offer and if you have time then defiantly go.
Saying that we are now timeshare owners, brought here in the U.K :d:

As said we did it in Jan this year. it lasted 4 hrs hard sell. I think he got the message when I told him I was only there for the free tickets and had no intentions of buying anything at this time. This did not stop them, They then shuffle you into another room were they leave you in a long line for your tickets. Another 70 mins in the line. So if you are prepared to sit for over five hours to save a few $$$$ hen go for it. It was our first and will be our last.

We got caught with something similar, they were offering discounted pirates tickets, we wasted a whole morning and into the afternoon of our holiday - not impressed would rather pay full price next time :mad2:
