it's mentioned briefly online and in the Brits guide - but all it really says is that it's 13 euros and you get a little cake/sweets buffet for the birthday child and a little gift....but I was just wondering if it is worth it?

not so much worth the money, as 13 euros is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things - but is it worth taking time out of our day in the park?

if not - I'll take my son to a character lunch/dinner instead. I was considering Cafe Mickey in Disney Village for that. Does anyone have any better suggestions?

He's 5 - just about to turn 6 - and particularly likes the classic Disney characters, and Winnie the Pooh et al

thanks in advance for your help

thank you Sarah (from another Sarah :))

That site is very useful – especially as I am a vegetarian and it’s good to read about the veggie options available

Like most review sites, for every “this is the BEST restaurant EVER” review there is a “I would rather die than go here again” :) But I think I have read enough to at least narrow down my choices

The birthday tea at the Plaza does look worth doing – and a little sit down at about 4pm would probably be in order anyway with a 5 year old.

Does anyone know if I can book in advance or should I just sort it out at check in when I arrive at my hotel? (we are staying at the Sequoia Lodge). I’ve never booked character meals in advance in Florida – but then we always go at really quiet times. And I know that DLP is much busier.

And – stupid question – his actual birthday is about 10 days later – that won’t matter will it? I mean they don’t insist that it is the actual birthday day?

And I think I might do one other character meal too – I’m torn between a lunch at the Lucky Nugget and dinner at Café Mickey.

Only 18 days to go – I am stupidly excited :) I haven’t had a Disney fix since October 2005 and that feels like forever ago

We did the Birthday Tea at Plaza gardens in Feb 2007 (details all in our trip reports) and loved it. It was our DDs 2nd birthday and it was just amazing! It was her actual birthday 2 days later so no issues at all. You can book all DLRP meals 90 days in advance - I'll find the number and post it and I'd definitely suggest doing it. It was quiet when we were there but they were full.

We did dinner at Cafe Mickey which was great - never done the Lucky Nugget.

Hope this helps

Try either of these 2 numbers to book your meals

00 33 1 60 45 70 79

00 33 1 60 30 40 50

I hope they can speak English as my French is tres tres rusty :D

I just need to figure out where we want to go on each day....

I LOVE the planning stage :)

I used to plan our annual Orlando trips like a field marshall :) Drove my ex husband mad. Maybe that's why he's my ex.... :D

*edited to add, I have just had a quick read of your trip reports - thank you - really helpful and a good read :) *
