Has anyone been to the one in the Bahamas? I would love to go, and have been looking at the one that's opening in Dubai. It looks beautiful.
No but its on my to do list. If you sign up on their website they will keep emailing you special offers. e.g. I received one this morning Summer Rate 3 nights / 4 days from $339 for Beach Tower accommodation. The Bahamas one is consistently voted as one of the top family resorts by Americans.
The Dubai one looks great too. More do-able for a short stay perhaps?

I stayed there for a week a few years back, it was always somewhere i wanted to go to since seeing a film that was done there and i wasn't disapointed. It was the most amazing hotel i had ever been too, it truely is a beautiful place and so big, it takes ages just to walk from one end of the hotel to the other. They have 3 different sections of the hotel for rooms which range in price, sadly i didnt get to stay in the tower rooms (top rooms) like i would have loved too as they were pricey. The grounds and the beach were beautiful, the restuarants were really nice and there was quite a nice variety which also ranged in price.
I went from Orlando so after spending a week in Florida prices at the Atlantis seemed rather expensive for food. If you do ever get the chance to go, take it :)
I'd love to visit the one in Dubai now too :D

i wondered about going to the one in the bahamas with my tesco points through virgin but thought the food might be expensive cos it was room only. all other hotels in the area were all inclusive
the one in dubai is very expensive for 3 days and you have to go from heathrow. i could get 14 nights in florida cheaper!

It's on my list to do as well. Will probably do the one in the Bahamas if it's more or less the same price wise. When we visited the Moon Palace in Mexico there were a few there who said they had preferred Atlantis so it must be fantastic!!
Some Dibbers are due to be heading to the Dubai one later this year - Corinda in September and Foodie in November I think.

I spent 2 weeks at Atlantis in the Bahamas...... wow:thumbs-up. What an amazing place..... nowhere else has topped it yet. But it is incredibly expensive to eat at the restaurants there. I am waiting for ds6 to get a bit older so we can go back:d:

Must admit I was surprised when I found out it wasn't an all inclusive hotel

I wish it was all inclusive:d:. It is the most expensive place i've been......the problem is you are staying in a fantastic place and want to eat in their fab restaurants and drink there..... our meals were costing fortune. You don't even want to see how much a bottle of wine is:erm:

I went there for my 40th birthday and it was the best birthday gift to myself ever!
It was just myself and my DD. Had booked a Beach Tower Room but they found out it was my birthday (i think my mother sent them an email !!!!) and they upgraded us to a Coral Tower Room. I actually arrived on my birthday. We loved it here.
We went in early December and so it was very quiet. My DD had the lazy river all to herself and would spend the entire day just floating along. She fell asleep one time on it. The person watching the lazy pool said they think she broke the record for the amount of times going around!!!!
We did the Meal Plan and that is really a must as the food is very expensive otherwise. My DD went to a star gazing evening at the Kids Discovery Zone area and she had a lot of fun there.
We are going back for my 45th birthday in a couple of years time.
I have heard that it is very crowded during Spring Break.
