We have always used JKF. As you come outside the airport there is a taxi rank and they charge you a set price to go into Manhattan. I think it is around $50. It takes about 30 minutes (depending on traffic). Enjoy your trip. I loooooove NY. :spin:

Not a lot to choose between them really in terms of access to Manhatten. last year we flew into Newark and flew home from JFK, this year our trip is the other way round.

Around $50 was about what we paid for a taxi from airport to hotel. it was also what we paid for the return trip hotel to airport

Have used both Newark & JFK and TBH, there much the same in terms of getting into Manhattan. Go for which ever price suits your budget best.

Only ever flown in to Newark, but its very nice and easy to get to NYC from. Can't comment on taxi fares as family pick me up!

La Guardia is the closest to the city, it's in Queens, but you usually only fly into there if you are flying domestic. JFK and Newark are much the same distance really so just go with whatever airline has the best price and options for you.
